Ohio State needs to file a formal complaint about the officiating in this game.

Gene Smith...earn your bloody salary.

Yes please.

The most dangerous missed called was the horsecollar on Hyde that went uncalled. The safety call was atrocious and there was significant holding along the Purdue O-line all day long.

Four Big Ten games this season, and they've won them in just about every way imaginable. Won a low-scoring slugfest against MSU. Won in a blowout against Nebraska. Escaped a late comeback attempt against Indiana, and then completed a comeback of their own today capped off by a clutch defensive stop. It's not pretty, but this team is building character and pulling out wins in the process.

The hit that took out Braxton wasn't technically a horse-collar, but he was ripped down by the back of his jersey.

It causes the same "Roy Williams" effect to the tackled player, which sucks.

I don't complain about officiating in games often. Worst calls ever were Illinois 2008 and today. Glaring, obvious missed or wrong calls plagued this game.

Yes they did. I know I was thinking about that after the game too. If they had gotten the ball and scored like they did all game all the sudden they have the mo back and the crowd probably isn't quite as juiced

You always defend first in OT....that way you know if all you need is a FG or if you can win with a TD or if you need a TD to tie

I'll politely disagree. The refs weren't nearly as bad as the griping that went on about them here, which almost always occurs when the Bucks are losing.

It sounded like sour grapes to some when the Buckeyes were losing, but win or lose those refs were turrible.

THIS. By the letter of the law it was legal football play, but it had the same effect as an illegal one. I don't know how much more you can legislate this stuff. A certain level of danger is inherent to this game.

And Steve Pamon (in the Illinois game in 2007) was dirty as heck too (with the gambling allegations, etc.).

Don't know about today's crew (as far as gambling).

He's not, man.

Stuck in the airport in Minneapolis this past Friday evening, had to watch ESPN at a bar.

Miraculously, both he and Holtz disagreed on every single game prediction. They're all ESPN puppets (including a sleepy, frosted tip, former Buckeye).
