I think the answer was no and unless Sony is simply lazy in updating their pages, remains no.

HDMI cable listed as "sold Separately"
That was my thought, just wanted to be 110%.

I may be trading a person I work with a two year old P4-3.0Ghz desktop PC (no monitor) and $200 cash for their 60Gb launch PS3 + a handful of Blu-Ray movies, but no games. I guess she bought the PS3 solely to watch BR discs and have something her boyfriend could play his PS2 games on when he came over.

I figure the value of the PC is probably around $400 or so, so the trade is honestly in her favor, but frankly ... I don't need the dozen or so PCs I have in my home (and that's no exaggeration, I seem to collect this crap), so giving up a little used, albeit decent PC is like free money to me. From my view, I'm buying a PS3 for $200, which significantly un-sours my biggest complaint with the hardware -- it was priced way too damn high at launch. :tongue2:

She says she's had it for almost a year and it's only been used maybe five or six times. Essentially brand new and is the earlier premium model that has the emotion engine built in. Big plus in my book.

I've already got a lot of Christmas money tied up in Wii games (our shopping is virtually done), so I won't be buying many, if any, PS3 games until early next year, most likely.

If I only buy one, what do you guys recommend? Resistance or Assassins Creed?

How about Heavenly Sword, anyone try that yet?

I got the PS3 today, turned out I didn't pay anything for it -- I traded an old desktop PC (tower only, no peripherals), and an old, extra surround sound system straight up.

So, here I've been dogging the PS3 for a year for being overpriced with an uninteresting lineup of software, now I've got one, and I'm looking at the release list and I don't really see anything that makes me want to run out and get it tonight. Resistance? NCAA 08? Not really thrilled paying $60 for either of those. I don't really get into the COD/Socom style stuff either. Blazing Angels and Lair were broken. Assassins Creed?

These all sound like decent enough games, but nothing that compels me to open my wallet and drop $60+ tax for any of them.

I dunno, Heavenly Sword is the only thing that really jumps out at me right now until UT3 ships.

the demos aren't very long at all. just enough to get a feel for what the game is about.
Yeah. Just found that out. 998Mb to play Heavenly Sword for 2 fucking minutes.

Weak. Now I may not buy it just out of spite. :tongue2:

Downloading Motorstorm and Dirt now ... back to the PC.
