MSU looked a lot better than TCU, not even close.Agreed, but so did msu. And so did OSU's offense. Nobody has looked that impressive.

Stanford is. This isn't the Bundesliga.Stanford are ranked 2 spots behind USC because they have identical records and Stanford won by 10 at USC.
Who IS going to lose to Ohio State on Nov 28th? Michigan is. Michigan is going to lose to Ohio State on Nov 28th.Sorry, but I don't speak Merican. Unless Stanford is one dude taking on the world they are ranked below USC.
Not to suggest that there is ANY sort of bias in the polls, but based on rankings coming into this weekend and records coming out of it:
There are 5 undefeated teams in the SEC, and 6 ranked teams.
There are 3 undefeated teams in the PAC and 6 ranked teams.
There are 5 undefeated teams in the B1G and 4 ranked teams.
The Alabama hangover was worse than expected -- but the Rebels still prevailed. Ole Miss, coming off its wild win over the Crimson Tide, had its hands full with an inspired Vanderbilt team that wasn't interest in being a speed bump. The Rebels finally pulled away for a 27-16 win, but did so despite penalties, mistakes and missed opportunities in the red zone.
Just read the blurbs alongside the espn power rankings. Adjectives used to describe Ohio State and Sparty wins: ho-hum and blah. OHio State "isn't playing like the best team in the country." And for poor Sparty, they suffered a devastating injury that might as well rule them out.
Here's the write-up for Ole Miss because simply pulling words out of it wouldn't do justice to the mental gymnastics in play to put frosting on this turd.
They were "hungover." Vandy was "inspired." They "pulled away" (winning by only 9) despite all those mistakes that, is otherwise clearly implied, would have meant a 50 point win. They are literally chubcited to drop us down to #2 next week and get an SEC! team in it's rightful and gawd given place atop the poll.
