Premier League (Official Thread)

I keep thinking that NBC (next year) would be so much better served showing EPL matches on CNBC, rather than infomercials on weekends. Additionally, NBC could substitute EPL matches for mountain biking and MSNBC for prison shows.

I'm sure CNBC would get better viewership than something telling me how to flip houses.

I just hope they don't assume when we'd prefer to watch matches and tape delay everything.

Good night all around for football, Chelsea may be back on the right track which is sort of disappointing, that was a fun soap opera while it lasted. The United/City match was great, Hart has to be kicking himself in the ass over that first goal, he just watched it slowly go by. Sadly the coin chucking has become way too common, it happened to Suarez at United and at Everton. Passionate people + alcohol = stupidity.

On another note, Liverpool got their first win streak of the season, 2 in EPL and three wins in a row overall, though they had to fight for it last night, no Suarez, no Enrique, yet they still pulled it out. It's good to see Brendan Rogers's plan finally starting to come together, but boy do they need another striker, so January should be interesting, with upcoming games against Aston Villa and Fullham they could potentially sneak into the top 5 since the difference between 10th and 4th is only 4 points, I think if they can at least break the top 8 before January we should see some money spent to improve a few areas.

JFC, just when it looks like they're heading the right direction Liverpool lay an egg at home versus Aston fucking Villa, 3-1.

We're Aston Villa! We glow in the dark!

Luis Suarez was his usual prick self today. That made the match even more satisfying.

What did Suarez even remotely do to be a "prick" today?
LFC dominated again but managed to crap the bed like they've done multiple times this season.

Got into with Guzan a couple of times and then received his obligatory yellow for throwing a coniption fit at the referee over a non-hanball-call (it hit the AV player in the chest).

He's just a whiner and a generally disrespectful player. He's the Rasheed Wallace of the Premier League.

And "dominated" is a rich term in a game that was 3-nil until the last 3 minutes. Time of possession was misleading because Villa played to protect the lead most of the match. If anybody "dominated" it was Christian Benteke, who is quickly becoming a star in the BPL.
