Premier League (Official Thread)

I don't really know the point of a complaint being filed to the FA over Mark Clattenburg's language. It's not like players don't swear directly at him as well during matches. And the FA sometimes doesn't discipline refs for missing goals, which is more important to me.

Chelsea have made a complaint about referee Mark Clattenburg's language during their defeat to Manchester United.

Two accusations of using "inappropriate language" have been levelled against Clattenburg...
Considering Sky Sports reported that John Obi Mikel tried to get into the referee's room after the game, the entire match looked like a circus.

I don't like Suarez, but that is funny.

I don't think the addition of the Barclays Premier League on a three-year deal will help NBC Sports Network get moved up to the basic tier of cable/satellite systems (similar to ESPN/ESPN2). I guess, if the channel keeps building, they can hope.

Three-year deal says that most games will be on NBC Sports, but some games on NBC, Bravo, CNBC, MSNBC and USA. Maybe six games per weekend.

Heck of a choke job by Spurs today in the Capital One Cup, even by their standards.

Out of all the trophies, it's obvious that's the one clubs care about the least.

One thing I thought about in the preseason and now at times, Danny Rose could've been kept with the club for cover. But he needed playing time.

So Fox is showing the Liverpool-Newcastle United match on their main channel Sunday. It's slotted between the NFL pregame show and the 4PM NFL game. Does this mean that we'll get a giant dose of the differences and similarities between football and futbol, or will Fox actually act like a professional broadcasting company, for once, and just give us good, solid coverage of a match being played on their main network?
