Premier League (Official Thread)

That was sheer robbery. I can't believe they ruled Suarez offside. Unreal.

Another poacher's goal for Deuce, this one in a Spurs shirt. Michael Bradley can sympathize w/ Defoe.

I've been critical of Defoe, and I know this is only Saints, but he has played very well today. Passing and moving, showing some vision and creativity. He deserves a goal, and if he keeps doing more than his usual dead-ending and low-percentage shooting he just might find one.

That wasn't even close to offside, no idea what they were looking at.

The only thing I could guess or could remotely be argued would be climbing on the back for the initial header, because Suarez ran onto it (no offsides).

But they didn't call that. The line called offsides.

Didn't take long for United to score. RVP's shot came off the post to hit an unaware David Luiz for the own goal. Unlucky.

Any guesses as to if NBC will use live commentators at venues or just rely on the international broadcasters everyone else uses?

I like Ian Darke and Steve McManaman being at the venues and conducting half-time and pre-game there, rather than going to a studio and then going back to the international broadcasters (like FSC does).

Just hope NBC doesn't splash all that money and then go on the cheap for production.

You'd think with Rupert Murdoch's interests in England, he would've had a chance to re-bid after their first low-ball was turned down.

Is Ashley Cole already playing for United ? He's not even trying out there & he's letting United storm down his side of the field with no questions asked.

United fortunate to go into the half still one up. That was a hell of a finish to the first half from Chelsea. Hopefully, the game will remain that way in the 2nd. Awesome game so far.
