Goodbye to Drogba, an epic 8 years. Leaving at the top of the mountain. I hope he can go back to Marseilles and I wish him nothing but greatness.

The man ripped my heart out more than once this year, but he is top-class and a credit to the game. I don't have anything but nice things to say about him.

Chelsea have released Jose Bosingwa and Solomon Kalou from their contracts. Drogba's already left. First steps in clearing up space for some bigger names. Expect the sale/release of some of these names:

Michael Essien, Florent Malouda, Daniel Sturridge, Paulo Ferreira, Hilario, Turnbull.

They've already signed CAM/LW Kevin de Bruyne, and out and out winger Marko Marin. Chelsea are in the market for wingers, a striker, and a right back. Likely targets:

Hulk, Falcao, Hazard, Modric, Lucas Moura, Azpilicueta, van der Wiel, Demba Ba, amongst others. The other gaps are likely to be filled by the promotion of some up and coming starlets from the 2 time FA Youth Cup winning youth team.

I think most everyone can agree that Joey Barton is simply bad for football. He simply has anger issues and only knows how to lash out like a 3 year old.

I don't know. He gave me a lot of entertainment when he melted down against Man City. Even my wife was asking WTF he was he thinking?

Exactly, even someone who doesn't regularly watch the EPL can ask what was that idiot thinking. He is an embarassment to the game. I never said he wasn't good for some comic relief and some great moments of stupidity. He still hasn't risen to the level of Eric Cantona yet, but he still may have some time to do so.

Eden Hazard to Chelsea! I hope his wage bill isnt outrageous, because many players are getting close to rearranging their dahlias and that would certainly up the ante.

Outrageous, or outrageous for a petroclub?

I'm hearing it's upwards of ?250,000 per week, which even Man City balked at. Then again, most rumors turnout to be bullshit. We shall see.

Details Surfacing: Hazard to Chelsea

35.3 M pounds transfer fee, 170,000 a week in wages. Really high, but not Man City high quite yet

The experts are saying that Hazard lost out on a lot of money by specifying which teams he would take offers from. On the open market, he could've gotten more.
