FA hands Liverpool forward Luis Suarez eight-match ban after being found guilty of misconduct in Patrice Evra racism row

The FA issued the punishment on the grounds that the Uruguayan made insulting comments in reference to the Red Devils defender's skin colour, but the attacker is likely to appeal

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has been found guilty of a misconduct charge towards Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra and has subsequently been fined ?40,000 and banned for eight matches.

And that 2-1 defeat to Bolton ends the Steve Kean era with Rovers. Funny that both managers (Owen Coyle being the other) were rumored to be gone if they lost Tuesday.

Problem being, the Venky's have been well-documented by the British press -- almost maliciously -- as knowing very little about football and/or running a football club.

But now the Rover protests can stop, because Kean will probably be sacked shortly.

If Andy Carroll ever needed motivation to regain his Newcastle scoring form, now is his time.

He'd quiet a lot of the Reds supporters who have justifiably criticized his play after his move.

Will be interesting to see JT's ruling against Anton Ferdinand when it eventually comes out.

Sepp Blatter says they should be shaking hands

Does anyone think Andy Carroll is that good? He has a powerful shot and is good at headers... But when a guy like Grant Holt combines both those aspects with an actual willingness to work hard on the pitch, it makes Carroll's purchase seem extremely high. I'd wager you could get a Holt-type for around 5-10M.

JT Faces Criminal Charge

The case with JT will continue and both parties/clubs continuing with the "he said, he said" (which is understandable).

Chelsea captain John Terry is to face prosecution over allegations that he racially abused Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand.

The Crown Prosecution Service announced on Wednesday afternoon that there is sufficient evidence to prosecute Terry for his on-field exchange with Ferdinand at Loftus Road on 23rd October.

Still in the Drop Zone but Wigan is skating by of late. Points in 5-of-6 and unbeaten in the past three with draws against Chelsea and Liverpool in the last two.

If they drop, Roberto Martinez would get a job quick.

The charges against John Terry are total bull[Mark May], but couldn't have happened to a bigger prick. [censored] him.

Cheating on your wife with an ex-teammate's former girlfriend is bad? :tongue2:

Ha, I still remember the British press killing Terry around that time regarding his parents being criminals (mother shoplifting and father drug dealing).
