Liverpool now.

If it were up to some supporters, Manchester United later (the Glazers probably couldn't even get spit-free food at a McDonald's in Manchester).

Sky Sports | Reds begin hunt for buyers

Barclays Capital is to advise Liverpool on the sale of the club and Martin Broughton has been appointed as a new chairman at Anfield.

The debt-ridden Reds have been shrouded in uncertainty regarding the future of controversial co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett for the majority of the season, with reports linking numerous parties with a potential bid for the Premier League outfit.

But the news that Barclays Capital and British Airways chairman Broughton have been brought in has been accompanied by an announcement from Hicks and Gillett that they want to sell.

Good swan song for Milner to net one for Villa today in the opener. And then on to Eastlands.

Surprised the Sheikh hasn't gotten bored and blown up his seven-year-old stadium yet to build a super stadium (for no reason).

Can't believe that Sky forced Andy Gray to resign (or get fired) so quickly after his weekend comments. Someone will hire him shortly.

Might have an impact on his video game career though :) (Herbie knows that's a Cash Cow).

Don't know if ESPN is an option, considering the network only has one game a week (in the U.S.) and sometimes zero. Ian Darke and McManaman have been commended by various media outlets for their commentary too.

Guess ESPN Europe (old Setanta) is an option as a studio analyst.

What's funny is, the call they were arguing, the female line got it right. The other two commentators (Keys and Burton) didn't get fired yet.

Villa confirm Bradley talks

American set for loan switch

Aston Villa have confirmed they are in advanced talks with Borussia Monchengladbach's Michael Bradley.

I really liked what I saw out of Bradley during the WC, but low tier Bundesliga clubs don't get a lot of play on Gol TV, so I haven't seen him play since. I'm pretty excited to see what he can do, in the Premier League, on a team that finally seems to have gotten over Martin O'Neill's departure.

Villa has too many midfielders as it is, even with Stephen Ireland's probable loan to Newcastle. I'm not sure where Bradley is going to fit in, unless Villa does something crazy like tranferring Ashley Young to Liverpool. I'd be pretty pissed about that though.

Too many it looks like Gerard Houllier just isn't happy with his midfield. He has now signed Jean Makoun and Micheal Bradley this January. Stephen Ireland is a mystery to me. He was absolutely impressive at City before the Sheikh's billions rolled in and now he is being tossed out again. Has to be some behind the scenes issues with him. If you trust Warren Barton, on Fox Soccer, he insists Houllier doesn't like what Stiliyan Petrov and Nigel Reo-Coker bring to the table. I think Downing and Young are favored out wide, but he is looking for something new in the heart of midfield. Who knows what that Frenchman is thinking. I could never figure him out when he was with Liverpool. I am with you about hoping Ashley Young isn't headed out the door also.
