Premier League (Official Thread)

I know this isn't from Premier League, but still amazing...IMO one of the best, if not the best Free Kick takers in the world SHUNSUKE NAKAMURA. He had a hat trick yesterday in a 7-0 beatdown of St. Mirren in the SPL. This is all 3 of his goals, with his free kick the last one.

Chelsea turned around a fairly sloppy game into a 2-0 win this morning (on the west coast) in Stamford Bridge to move back to the top of the standings... Drogba had to great assists (Anelka, Malouda) despite all his frustrating antics... Liverpool blew some pretty good chances, and Torres was just... off all game.

Liverpool 2-0 Mancs. Vidic sent off for the third time in a row in this fixture. Torres makes Ferdinand look like a Sunday league pub player for the opener. 5 minutes of Manc time is added at the end, only for N'Gog to seal the win right at the death. Glorious.

Chelsea with a 3-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates. Looking very much like the class of the Premiership at the moment. The Blues are 5 points ahead of the Mancs following this match (assuming they don't score again in the next 4-5 minutes).

They are the class of the premiership, true. They far from dominated the match, however. Chelsea took advantage of nearly every opportunity while Arsenal let some lovely interplay and build up go ungratified.

Statistically, you're absolutely right... except, as you pointed out, the execution stats.

A five-point lead over the reds is actually less than the Blues had at this point last year. That being said, the way the team is playing and with a healthy Essien - et al who were hurt last year - this lead feels less precarious.

Tim Howard, US Goalkeeper, just came up with an amazing save against a PK for Everton against Spurs in the 96th minute! He looked on amazing form right now and is in the top 3 of Premiership goal keepers for sure.

It will be nice to have him against the long distance shooters of England in South Africa.

Chelsea vs. Man City. This is the worst HD quality from ESPN that I've ever seen. Even the analog signal is "blocking" up. It has to be a shit feed from the UK.

Also...no handshake between Bridge and Terry. It's like Shaq and Kobe all over again...if Kobe had fucked Shaq's wife.
