Pre-Season Practice - 2005

I also watched the practice on ESPN. Actually, recorded it through our Dish Network DVR. Even better, because there were no commercials, and I can watch it whenever I want :wink2: . I saw Carpenter bull-rush Alex Boone, and I must say I would be worried about that one play if it wasn't Bobby Carpenter we are talking about. To Boone's credit, even my roommate (Notre Lame fan) said that he was off-balance on that play, and my roommate played a little college football. As much as he hates OSU, he was impressed with Boone's ability (AB was shown quite a bit in drills), and the fact that he is going against possibly the best NCAA defense. Also, Carpenter makes a pretty imposing DE, don't ya think? I would like to see the true FR that blocks him every time. I agree Boone maybe could have had his left foot here or there, but watching from the La-Z-Boy doesn't give us the right to criticize him.

Boone has had a lot of problems with dehydration and is not at 100%.
I'm not bashing Boone, just stating that his technique could be better. That says more about coaching than Boone. If you talk to him tell him to start drinking shots of pickle juice (vinegar, salt, and water). :wink: That helped me retain water during games and stopped me from getting dehydrated.

I can get you a program to rip from DVD to video....what format you want?
What software would you recommend? Everything I've tried so far has shitty quality.

Interesting stuff, the White situation took me as a suprise....a pleasant one at that, I've always liked the way he plays ball. Looks like Zwick will get the start, not a suprise by any means. I also found it interesting that Jamario has already propelled himself into the starting position at Nickelback. I look for him to continue to emerge, and get more and more PT as the season progresses........he is the real deal, and could end up being the best freshman on the team this season. His athletism is not matched by many.

That left tackle spot must be a little unsettled, because it says Datish or Rehring on there. I see David Patterson has stepped up his game and taken JRich's spot. I thought I heard another player mention that D. Patterson was going to have a break out season.

Datish starting at LT. Hmm. Maybe that Repository writer was onto something.

Rehring didn't hold onto it for very long...

Man... no kidding... where the hell have I been....

Anyway... we'll see what happens with MDA... of course this is the 2 deep for this week.. sooo.. I guess we'll see.

...looks like a reshirt for D'Andrea.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

Not necessarily. I had heard that D'Andrea was going to sit out until he was 100% in any case, but if he got a favorable answer from the NCAA about the extra year he would eventually work his way into the action. But if the answer from the NCAA is negative, he would redshirt. In any case, Coach Tressel has said that he is not he is not 100% so his not playing in this game does not really tell us anything.
