Pre-Season Practice - 2005

Now this Confuses me?

Everyone knows that today espn showed the ohio state practice today, but today was also osu's kick scrimmage, now this makes me believe that the practices shown on espn were indeed not live and were "pre-taped" ahead of time and just shown today

All the reason why we wont be able to tell - wether we have a solid special teams Defense that can block kicks hell-good, or a kicker that may be kicking a bit too low and was going up a tough special teams Defense - untill Sept. 3rd.

The article said, quote: "On the other, it appeared he barely got the ball to helmet height and it was easily blocked." Pretty easy to tell that the rush team had zilch to do with that. It was either:

1. A bad snap (article didn't say it was); or
2. A botched hold (again, article didn't say it was); or
3. A poor kick (Huston admitted it was kicked too low)

Not slamming Huston, but it seems he's had quite a few kicks blocked so far...

That was Schoenhoft who threw the ball too late and underthrew the deep pass to Ginn. He will learn. Other than that throw, and a couple of times where he didn't quite understand what the play was supposed to be, he looked pretty good.
Zwick threw some very good balls, and a few very ugly ones as well.
Yeah you could hear Tress telling him to throw it to the underneath guy that was open.

This doesnt really warrant its own thread, but the practice on Espin was from
1-2 and the kick scrimmage was later.

It was also reported Ginn was on the fg block team, but was not back to return punts b/c of risk of injury.
oh yea don't want to risk a injury catching and ball and running with it(they can blow the play dead if they wish) but they can put up against big lineman and risk getting spuashed by a 350 lb. lineman

does any1 know when the kick scrimmage was today?

Dude he was rushing off the edge not up the middle. I think Tress knows what Ginn can do returning punts, no reason to put him back there and have him twist an ankle or something.

LMFAO. I was waitin for you to say something Mili. You crack me up.

As for TG05 the damn kick scrimmage was after Espin showed practice.

yea ok but why put him on field goals? its not like he's ever going to do that in a game

but what time was the scrimmage anyway
Can't the coaches experiment. How do you know he isnt going to do that in a game are you Tressell.
