No comments tonight, just a few questions, taken from opinions previously seen on this board:

1) Do you still think that Troy Smith is clearly the best QB and the man to lead this team?

2) Do you still think that Antonio Pittman is a great running back?

3) Do you still think that the Buckeyes have the best group of wide receivers in college football?

4) Do you still think that this team has more talent than the 2002 squad (which was ranked the #16 team of all time by Billingsley's)?

5) Do you still think that this is a national championship caliber team?

Well....

Something has to change on the offensive side of the ball. A more accurate QB, better play calling, more intensity??? Whatever it is, it has to happen NOW.

Our defense played there hearts out in the 2nd half and our offense had chance after chance. Just blew it.

Very disappointed in the whole offense tonight, something has to change right now.
We cannot be a serious big 10 threat when our offense stumbles every single year and game. Something has to change right now or we will see many more games like this.

Ditto that Jax. I keep wondering why a program with such a long tradition of winning like we have has so much trouble trying to recruit the QB position. Is it because the state of Ohio simply does not produce QB talent? Why does a guy like Anthony Morelli go to PSU to sit behind Michael Robinson when he could have come here and started?

With that being said, I have high hopes for Schoenhoft. We'll see.

I really don't think Smith played terrible tonight. The INT was not completely uncatchable for Pittman, he did the best he could when the plays broke down and there weren't any options to throw to, and he really had no chance against that unblocked DE. I'm not trying to make excuses for him, but no one can really put all of the blame on his shoulders.

I want to know how 2 different elite 11 qb's can suck so bad after 4 years in a program ?

I know how that perception could be drawn of Zwick from last year. I don't know how it could this year. Which is not to say he's been brilliant enough to hold the job, just that I don't think "suck" is fair. When he's played, he's played well, despite opinion to the contrary. His numbers are more than solid.

Smith's problem is that he's either a god, or a total liability, and we never know what to expect each week.

"Trouble trying to recruit the QB position"? We have three Elite 11 QB recruits on this team (Zwick, Smith, Schoenhoft, all from Ohio BTW) - it's not a problem with recruiting, obviously.

I think the offensive line did a poor job but Troy Smith makes too many mistakes. I never thought I would find a quarterback that I hated as much as Rod Gerald. Oh well I wonder how many more losses we will have this year? You can't make the turn overs we are making and win. Plus Troy doesn't know how to get rid of the ball. Maybe it is poor coaching I don't know. If I was JT I would try and use Smith as a running back and put Zwick in at QB.
