Recruit that faced criminal charges enrolls at OU
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- An Oklahoma recruit will join the Sooners football team, even though he faced criminal charges in Nevada earlier this year.
Coach Bob Stoops said Thursday that he and his staff thoroughly reviewed the facts and disposition of Justin Chaisson's case and based their decision on the "independent assessment of the district attorney's office and court system."
Chaisson, a defensive end from Las Vegas, was arrested in the spring on felony assault counts but the felonies were dismissed and he pleaded no contest in May to misdemeanor charges as part of a deal with prosecutors.
Chaisson arrived on campus to enroll this week.

Let's see. I crash a car into a building at 3am. I have a previous arrest for DWI. I have a "concussion." But instead of going to the hospital, I go home and go to bed.
