Ex-Michigan player Milano to stand trial on assault charges

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- A former Michigan football player was ordered Wednesday to stand trial on charges he attacked a hockey player.

Michael Milano, of Rocky River, Ohio, is accused of assault with intent to commit great bodily harm less than murder and aggravated assault. Authorities say Steven Kampfer of Jackson sustained head and neck injuries Oct. 12 outside a residence hall.

Milano, 22, was a wrestler who joined the Wolverines football team as a walk-on in 2007. He was suspended indefinitely after the alleged attack.

What is it between football and hockey players in the mitten state? Are they really arguing about no-touch icing?

Orlando Sentinel - Breaking: Gators OL Carl Johnson accused of date rape, physical harm by

The arrest Monday of Gators offensive lineman Carl Johnson
stemmed from a petition from a former girlfriend who claimed Johnson
"date-raped" her on three occasions from September to November of 2008.

In court documents obtained by the Orlando Sentinel, the petitioner
said on Feb. 9 that her relationship with Johnson from July to December
included “regular” physical and emotional abuse.

While this looks very bad, I'm trying to figure out how you get "date raped" three times?

That said, violence against women is a one stike deal with Urban, so he may be gone, whatever the outcome criminally.

I hope it is a crazy ass girlfriend (he has a new one now) and not a crazy ass Carl. If he is abusing her, buh-bye Carl.

Some of our posters will go to great lengths just to be able to say they received a slew of PMs from the female BPers.

If only discharging firearms into the air was a one strike offense as well.

Actually, I have more problems with the guy who beats up a girl that what Taz did. Assuming that he had his stuff together enough not to shoot the guy, that is. The guy who followed Taz in his care and Taz responding by pulling a gun and firing it as a threat were both in the wrong.

Hell, Taz was big enough to beat him up as it was. Taz broke the gun rule, and I have no problem with him not playing last year.
