If I remember correctly Charlie Weis' punishment for DUI is dismissal from the team.

I believe that Rashon McNeil a FB was busted for DUI and that was his punishment. We'll see if Coach Weis lives up to that precedent here.

ESPN - Vols punter Colquitt suspended, stripped of scholarship - College Football

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee punter Britton Colquitt has been suspended for the Vols' first five games of the 2008 season following his weekend arrest on charges of driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.
Colquitt, 22, also was stripped of his scholarship, Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer said in a statement Sunday.


According to the Knox County Judicial Commissioner's Office, Colquitt hit a parked car early Sunday morning and then fled the scene. According to police reports, when officers stopped Colquitt, he admitted to drinking and driving as well as to hitting the car and a tree stump.

South Carolina WR Lecorn arrested

CAYCE, S.C. (AP) -- Police say South Carolina receiver Dion Lecorn was charged with simple possession of marijuana after he was arrested at a Cayce apartment complex.

A police report says the freshman receiver from Ocala, Florida, and two other men told police they had been smoking marijuana Sunday night in a car at the apartment complex. An officer who was patrolling the complex smelled the marijuana when she came over to the car to tell the men to turn down the music.

JANUARY

11 - Knoxville police cited freshmen wide receivers Gerald Jones and Ahmad Paige for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop near campus while the two hosted a recruit from Oklahoma on his official visit. Freshman offensive lineman William Brimfield who was with Paige and Jones at the time was not charged by police, but was disciplined by Fulmer nonetheless.

21 - UT police arrested freshman tailback Daryl Vereen for public intoxication and underage consumption after responding to a call of a fight in progress outside Gibbs Hall, an on-campus residence hall located across the street from the Neyland-Thompson Sports Center.

26 - Knoxville police arrested junior All-SEC lineman Anthony Parker for disorderly conduct at an off-campus apartment complex.

FEBRUARY

2 - walk-on defensive back Vince Faison was arrested for DUI after UT police found the 27-year-old former professional baseball player passed out behind the wheel of his truck in the parking lot of an on-campus fast-food restaurant with the engine running and his foot on the brake pedal with the vehicle in gear.

13 - Fulmer dismissed sophomores Dorian Davis and Antonio Wardlow for an undisclosed violation of team rules. Both players had been arrested within the last 18 months.

17 - Knoxville police arrested Colquitt for DUI and leaving the scene of an accident, after the punter struck a parked car near the Old City, causing more than $400 in damages.

He'd have been ok until he hit that tree stump; Fulmer has to draw a line some where.

McPhearson pleaded guilty to felony theft, and a Champaign County judge sentenced him to 180 days in jail and 30 months of probation. Four counts of residential burglary and another theft charge were dismissed.
Police arrested McPhearson and Illini player Jody Ellis in March 2007. Officers said they found computers and other high-tech gear in the back of Ellis? car.
Ellis pleaded not guilty and is due in court next month.
Both players were kicked off the team not long after their arrests.

Johnson told authorities he was thrown down on his bed by intruders about 4 a.m. Tuesday, police said. He told campus police the intruders wrote ?Mike + football = death,? on a mirror, refrigerator and television in the room.
?He confessed that he made it up,? said Angela Kirkland, a lieutenant on the school?s police force. ?He didn?t really go into detail.?

Bad news out of Iowa City.

Two University of Iowa football players were arrested early this morning on different drug charges, including one felony.

James Lee Cleveland, 19, and Arvell M. Nelson, 19, were arrested overnight on different charges. Cleveland faces up to seven years in prison for tax stamp violation, a Class D felony, and two counts of unlawful possession of prescription drugs, both serious misdemeanors. Nelson was arrested for possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor carrying a maximum of one year in prison.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- Alabama safety Rashad Johnson was arrested early Saturday morning after allegedly knocking a security guard down at an off-campus bar, Tuscaloosa police said.

Johnson was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct after his arrest at 2:55 a.m. at the Legacy bar on the strip near Alabama's campus, police spokesman Robert Fourt said in a statement Saturday. Johnson, 22, was released on $500 bond shortly after being booked.

The legal troubles continue to mount for the football team. Since April, 14 players have been arrested. In December, Dominique Douglas and Anthony Bowman pleaded guilty to credit card fraud, an aggravated misdemeanor reduced from a felony. Douglas, Clint Huntrods (public intoxication), Ryan Bain (drunken driving) and Dana Brown (domestic assault) either left or were removed from the team. Other arrests or citations included Bradley Fletcher, Ben Evans and Lance Tillison - all drunken driving; Ricky Stanzi, Ryan Donahue and Tyler Gerstandt - possession of alcohol under legal age; and Brandon Myers - interference with official acts.
