Pizza Man says he's going to conduct a national search

Signing day is about a month away....

His "evaluation" took over a month.

Do the math.
How long did it take Dominoes to update their shitty pizza?

Claims he only decided to fire RR last night after reflecting on his earlier meeting yesterday and his month + long "evaluation"

Said he felt he should keep RR thru the bowl because it gave them the best chance to win the bowl (as opposed to an interim coach).
This guy might be better than Saint Bill of Ann Arbor (that magnificent son of a bitch). :slappy:

It sounds like a real screw up, but I'm not coming in off the ledge. It's just that I had so many hopes for RichRod.

Pizza boy broke my heart. I'll let my Columbus brother sing it for me...broken-hearted.

I suggest a deal. You write four copies of a letter. Bill Martin will send his four fastest sailboats, one in each direction. We'll run up the white flag and deliver your message. If Harbaugh wants you, bless you both. If not ... please consider Brady Hoke as an alternative to suicide. Are we agreed?

I've heard this a lot. Are Nard Dog and RR really that attached that he would transfer out?

Well, I think any new coach could find a place for him, but I think he has the problem that it most likely won't be a system like RR has, and they may have a better QB for their system, maybe even tater tooter. Denard could be a speed running back or a slot back, but I don't think he is physical enough to play more than 1/3 of the time. I can't see him as a QB in the NFL either.

That said, I dont buy that Harbaugh is so set at running a pro set that he would throw away what little talent he would inherit, IF he was actually interested in the job. Personally, I think Hairball is coaching in the NFL or at Stanford next year, though.

Lou Holtz was pretty funny last night. Mark May gave a sermon, "Michigan needs to break out the bucks and pay whatever it takes to either buy out Les Miles, or give Harbaugh whatever he needs. Just pay the money. they haven't been willing to do that ....blah, blah, blah."

Lou came back with, "Michigan is like Notre Dame, they think you ought to pay them to coach there. When I was talking to Notre Dame's AD he told me, 'we can't pay you more than the president of the college, well the president was a priest. But when I thought about it, that was where I wanted to coach and I wanted to coach. I didn't really care about the money. So I went to Notre dame, and guess what? Eventually the money came to me."

Mark May blew him off. "Welcome to the 21st century, that's all gone." Lou just smiled at the flaming ass hole and in the background you could hear the OSU fans chanting, "Mark May sucks!"

All of which fit in with what others had been saying before the game: Stanford Athletic department is in the red. Despite their success on the field they still don't draw dick -- apologies to Major League for copyright infringement -- Michigan doesn't pay dick -- see Lou Holtz comment. And part of this has to do with the difference between the Big 10, Pac 10 and the SEC.

Ed Weaver, Ohio State AD in the 70's fired Fred Taylor with the express purpose of hiring, "a big name coach." He then found out that OSU wasn't paying anywhere near what the market was bearing because Woody and Fred both insisted on being paid no more than a full professor. Weaver couldn't shovel out big bucks unless he shoveled even more toward Woody and Woody held onto the principal that a university's first job was education.

I don't for the life of me believe that Brandon has the permission of UM's president to pay "whatever it takes." Miles buyout price is said to be very steep, Harbaugh has at least 3 NFL francises hot in pursuit -- entities that have no governing bodies watching what they spend on a coach. These are hard times in Michigan and the governor and the legislature will surely NEVER let UM pay something well beyond the range of what MSU paid/pays for Dantonio -- history or no history.

Somewhere out there is a coach who wants to be at Michigan and believes that being there is more important than the money. When he arrives he will have the luxury of at least two years to remold the program because of the perceived (and visible) mess RR has left behind. If he begins to succeed by his third year, and if he takes advantage of the facilities, the fan base and the history, the money will find him.

Chris Peterson? Might hear him out all the way, but seems to love Boise. Could do a lot worse than Michigan though if he's waiting for something "big" to open up.

Honestly, I think Peterson is scared to take on a major job. Right now, he has it pretty good: lifetime tenure at $1.5MM/year in a town with minimal cost of living. He and his AD have learned how to game the system in scheduling while all the while their loudmouthed, hack president keeps whining to the press how nobody will play them and ESPN sucks their cock 365 days a year.

I don't think he wants to put it all out there in a job where BCS bowls and national championships are expected. Where he's no big deal UNTIL he wins a NC....or two. Where he's just another $3MM coach with $3MM expectations.

For a while, he used his kid's cancer as an excuse for not leaving Boise. Come on? Like Boise is the [censored]ing medical capital of the US? Don't they still use leeches up there? If his kid's medical condition was a concern, one would think that he'd jump on the next plane to accept a job at a university with a NIH comprehensive cancer institute.

No, Peterson is not going to take the job. He won't be Maize because he's Yellow.

Re: ALL IS NOT LOST YET!

We want:

Proven Winner - Les Miles CHECK
Top notch recruiter - Les Miles CHECK
Big name - Les Miles CHECK
Knows how to beat O - Les Miles CHECK

Seems like we have our answer

I can only hope this is the answer (assuming Hoke isn't).

I remember when John Cooper was brought in to Ohio State and people remarked that he knew how to beat Michigan based on an Arizona State bowl win over the Vulvarines.
