Yeah on Ovie's first goal.... Why Orpik was backing away from him has me really confused. First he screened his own goalie, and Second he gave Ovie enough space to get some good snap on that shot. Ovechkin's second goal? Mirror images of like 2-3 other goals he's had in this series.

I'm glad we won, but geeez we gata stop letting that guy get so wide open. He's got one hell of a shot though, and if we close them out on Monday i'll just be happy this one's over with.

I thought Feds, Satan, STAAL, Crosby, and Scuderi all played really well tonight. You can tell the coaches are starting to see Satan has something going here too. They've inserted him in with Crosby and Malkin numerous times there in game 4 and 5 now. Hopefully he's solid play continues, and hopefully we can close them out in Pittsburgh.

Once again the only person we need in game 6 to be huge is #29. Anyone else is a distance 2nd.

Quite simply I believe the winner of game 6 is gonna win the series. I know the NHL is praying for 7 games but [censored] that I want this to end on Monday.

Ovie should have gotten the game for that needless hit on Gonchar. Gonchar is supposedly his friend too. :shake:

Although in a way it evened out since they won that game AND the pick play by Brooks Orpik in the Pens zone during the breakout that netted the game winner wasn't called :wink:

I know. It's pretty bad too.

If that was Sean Avery or Tomas Holmstrom they would be banished from the league.

(Yeah I only include Holmstrom because he's the ref's bitch boy when it comes to penalties :biggrin: )

This was just a great game to watch. By the way, the posts on the Washington Capitals Message Board are hilarious. This was my favorite post + response combination.

I'm tired of seeing us choke. I want Crosby's face re-arranged so he will be too fugly to be the face of the league. We should do that if we have any souls which nobody in western Pennsylvania has.

The Caps are going to see the Pens again in the playoffs, maybe as early as next year.

Whether you like it or not, I think our road to the Stanley Cup is going to have to go through Pittsburgh in the next 10 years. We have to beat the Pens in order to win the Cup. Just get used to the idea.

By the way, I disagree. I think he should continue doing what he's been doing the last two games. He's looked like he should look. :p

Doesn't hurt that the Pens have multiple guys creating chances. Fedetenko might be the most predictable guy on the team when he skates into the offensive zone with the puck, but as long as he keeps getting one of those shots under/over that glove, I'm fine with it. :p

I don't care if it goes to 7, as long as Washington loses. I might actually prefer to win on their ice to see their worthless fans cry.

I'd rather win tonight. But yeah. Seeing their fans cry would be great. Maybe they'd throw something on the ice and hit Ovechkin in the knee. Fuckin' asshole (Ovechkin, not you).
