As many have stated, but I will just reiterate, Crater will be just fine, he is a pass first pg and when you have guys that you have never played with it is hard to get a feel for what they are going to do and where they are going to be at...Yes he has flaws in his games, and can play too out of control and try and fit passes in where they don't belong kinda like Brett Farve on a basketball court, but he has another year to work on his game and he is going to have plenty of talent surrounding him at tOSU...

I think we all should just settle down and trust Matta and his staff when it comes to recruiting decisions. He obviously proved himself as of last year.

As for Crater, I think Favre is an excellent comparison. When he's on, he's on, but he can also make mistakes. With another year of HS and some transition time to college ball, I think he can improve his consistency.

I hope everyone does not go crazy when he starts to fall in the rankings because he will with his inability to play in quite a view of the AAU tournaments this summer. It will be the same way with Sullinger but that's for another thread.

Anthony Crater
National ranking: No. 113 on Rivals.com, No. 56 on ScoutHoops.com, No. 27 on Hoopmasters.com

Some offcourt distractions affected Crater's spring play and knocked him way down the list. But he's still one of the most dynamic point guards. As one college coach says, "He didn't lose his vision." Crater is a mesmerizing passer who keeps teammates involved. One legitimate concern is a lack of strength. His frame does not suggest it will be easy for him to gain weight or maintain it when he arrives at Ohio State. He'll need to find a way to avoid being blown off the ball by stronger guards.
