Fuck off Regis! There are so many single plays I love but that is one in my top 5 because of the timing of Regis.

Also, that new Bonneville looks nice.

Penn State defensive tackle Fred Hansard was not penalized after pushing Maryland quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa to the ground during the third quarter of the Terrapins' home game against the Nittany Lions. The play in question came when Hansard was not in the game, but sent Tagovailoa to the ground when the quarterback ran out of bounds into the Penn State sideline directly past Hansard.

Tagovailoa was seen in pain on the ground after in the immediate aftermath of the incident. The quarterback continued in the game despite the frightening moment.

In case you forget, this is in reference to a game 7 years ago when Maryland did not shake hands before the game.



Back to the BWI thread, to be fair, most posters agree that the hit by the player not even in the game should be addressed. I think one guy said that the hit wasn't as bad as it looked, and a couple of people joked that he was just defending himself (at least, I'm reading it as a joke).

This thread started about the "snap infraction" that Ohio State was penalized for. The conversation evolved into officials helping Ohio State a million times over the years. Eventually it gets to talking about the lineman who pushed the Maryland quarterback when he's already out of bounds.

Just curious where you weigh in on the sideline pushing to the ground opposing players? Or the 2 unsportsmanlike conduct on a single play? Are these examples of your "Success with honor" ?

Love the "ours doesn't stink" proponents.

They are not examples of "Success with Honor" and some type of discipline is in order. Generally, the team members do not have the same level of personal accountability they once had and that is reflected on the field in level of performance. Hence, we have these sorts of incidents.

The way I read that, Paterno had a better control of his players. They didn't act like jerkbags on the field.

I like to keep on top of their running list of made up bullshit they think went against them. Does anybody know when the snap infraction or bounced pass happened? Not that I doubt their version of events or anything. I'm sure they're all certified referees and all that.

I want to say there was either two in the second quarter, or one in the 1st and one in the 2nd.

I’ve seen replay of the one they seem to be complaining about most and the center lost control of the ball at the exact moment he went to snap it. Looked pretty clear it was a snap infraction vs a fumbled snap.

They have two bounce passes that I am aware of. 2003 and 2014.

I'm also pretty sure they have a legit beef on those. I know for sure the 2003 pass was incomplete. It was a pass to the TE. 2014 was on an interecption I believe and they really go nuts because replay wasn't working and it didn't get reviewed. Now mind you it was early in the game but they reduce teh whole game down to that one play and scream about being cheated (page 1 of their playbook).

The snap infraction is whining because they don't know the rule. I just saw it happen in another game this weekend (can't remember which, maybe UC?). They want it to be a fumble and it's not. It was called and applied correctly.

I think there is another bounce pass this game they were whining about. Only one I can think of was to the middle of the field to Ruckert or something that it looked like the ball might have moved when he hit the ground.
