Thanks, but I already carry a thermos of my own.

Agreed on all accounts. You have to reach pretty far to try & pin blame on Franklin for the rapes that happened at Vandy.
On the other hand you do have his misogynistic "coaches wives" comment.
I strongly endorse Franklin's view on this, except you could end up with someone like Lane Kiffin.Something to the extent of "I only hire guys with good-looking wives." I think the explanation was that it shows that they have confidence and personality or something like that.
If we aren't going to call ourselves a cult I would suggest we admit the problem stemmed from a slap delivered, not one received.Seems like no matter where I look in CFB these days, rape is ever present.
I'm glad the worst of Ohio State's problems are selling their own property and being slapped by a girl in a club.

My mistake. Hyde's status as an OSU player had nothing whatsoever to do with how this played out.Video doesn't seem to show a slap by Hyde.
If there had been, he would've been charged. Columbus PD isn't like Talahassee PD that sweeps allegations under the carpet for a year, prays it disappears, advises the girl that it's not in her interest to pursue the issue, and refuses to interview the suspect or witnesses.

Yes, it's true. JoePa was going to retire after the 2011 Season. Urban Meyer was Joe's handpicked new Penn State Football Coach. Joe wanted three members of his staff to remain and to be on Meyer's Coaching Staff in 2012. They were: Larry Johnson, Mike McQueary and Ron Vanderlinden. How ironic is that?
How "ironic" is it that the assistants contained a world class DL coach, a world class LB coach, and a kid who hadn't accomplished shit? Gee......I dunno if "ironic" is the right word. Is there a word for giving a job to somebody who doesn't deserve it to keep him happy so he doesn't blab to the world about how he reported child rape in your facilities and you did nothing about it?http://bwi.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fid=36&tid=170299309&mid=170299309&sid=890&style=2
I love it. With one breath, they hate Urban Meyer and all he stands for. He's a terrible human being and shouldn't be talked about without muttering, "may he suck an egg." With the next breath, you get them talking about how Joe had him hand-picked to be his replacement and how he was going to be their next 409-game-winning savior.Yes, it's true. And he'll do all of it with 85 Rhodes Scholars who work in soup kitchens on Sunday mornings.
I think that it's unfair for everyone to say that he "did nothing about it." Joe blocked any attempt to report the crimes that took place by "advising" his lap dog AD and University President to keep quiet. He hired and promoted the "man" that he had just told "No, I'm not giving you a job," right before he saved everyone's weekend. Not only did Joe do something about it. In the end, he knows that he "should have done more." Because, if he had, the secret never would have come out.How "ironic" is it that the assistants contained a world class DL coach, a world class LB coach, and a kid who hadn't accomplished [Mark May]?
