You students are an outright embarrassment to Penn State. You don't deserve the name 'Paternoville' if you don't have the guts to stand up for what's right. Please read the entire Freeh report and note the extreme lack of evidence presented by Freeh against Joepa. Your parents and grandparents who protested in the past at Penn State would be ashamed of you...see Vietnam, apartheid, etc.
I never thought the students at PSU would cave to the media pressure and hype...wow. I'll be sure not to acknowledge you on my weekends at Penn State this year.

This is pathetic. Read the report. There is no evidence to determine joe had a hand in covering this up. You're a disgrace to all that truly are Penn State. Joe Paterno included.

I think your cover photo is of PATERNOVILLE. And to those of you posting above saying that all Joe Paterno cared about was football, you obviously know NOTHING about the man. Football was but a tool for teaching life lessons. I'm sorry you weren't privy to his lessons. You would be better people. Maybe if SuePa tutored you in reading, you would have been able to read the Freeh report and realize that it is full of opinions and slim on facts to back them up.

Rut Roh - They are on to us - they have figured out what we are REALLY concerned about.

What if Penn State were to get to the Rose Bowl/BCS? (merged)
A brief discussion was held on Serius XM radio last evening pertaining to PSU death penalty. It seems like the concern is how all of college sports would be viewed if PSU somehow made a run to the Big Ten title and went on to the Rose Bowl. It seems like a number of people are very fearful of this outcome.

Now, the chances are slim to none that we run the table or finish with 1 loss, but let's assume for a second that we do finish with a Big Ten Title and are 11-1 or 12-0.

Does anyone else on this board agree that if we win all 12 games, the media and the voters will keep us out of the National Title game and vote us #3 going into the bowls? What if we are 11-1. In that scenario I think we have no shot.

Assuming we do avoid major sanctions (by reading the media reports one would think the NCAA has already closed down the entire town) what do you see the ramifications being in the polls going forward? if we thought the media hated us in the polls before, it's going to be MUCH worse in the future.

I honestly can see some of the voters not ranking an undefeated PSU team in their top 25 just to make a statement. Actually, I can see a lot of them doing it.

Exactly. They recruit better student athletes than anyone else. On recruiting trips they have chocolate chip cookies Sue bakes (assuming ScottPa doesn't eat them first). It's a leave it to Beaver way of doing things. Success with Honor.
