Getting pretty hypothetical here, but ....

One of my many disappointments in OSU not being eligible for the post season this year is that they have no shot at playing in the inaugural Big Ten Championship game. You know, the one the NCAA allows you to play if you have at least 12 teams in your conference.

My guess is that if PSU does not play this season the NCAA may give us a pass, but I wouldn't mind at all if they didn't (give us a pass that is - I really want and increasingly expect PSU to sit and watch).

PSU needs a highly successful season this year...but like we all saw last year, kids out of routine and even the most basic change cause turmoil. They were limited talent-wise before this Hiroshima...now they are looking at the chance of 5-6 wins max IMO

Funny thing is, it could very well be football that leads PSU out of this. The public does love a good redemption story and if our players continue to handle their business on and off the field with dignity and class... and if BO'B turns out to be a decent coach (the press will eat up the obstacles that he and his family overcome daily) you will hear these same talking heads start praising our kids for being able to maintain focus through all of this, praising our coach for weathering the storm, and eventually praising our University for moving forward.
