Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

The press conference rumor was started by someone with 2 followers and was tweeted to the Houston radio station 610, look at the name who It is sent from. Pretty sure it is a hoax.

:lol::slappy::lol:

Only "pretty sure" because, when you're desperate enough, you don't want to completely abandon hope.

Good stuff.

Funny how when it seems like ole' Ballsack O'Bagpipes is packing his bags, they common theme is "good riddance" and that he was never a loyal PedState guy, and such. Then when some cretin makes an obvious-hoax-of-a-statement that he might be staying and they're ready to release doves proclaim him the savior....

My God, they're a litigious bunch, aren't they? They want to take everyone to court for everything...

I wouldn't pay O'Brien the $900K he is due, would sue in state court to block his attempts to get it by claiming that he has breached his contract and ceased being solely Penn State's HC the day his agents started negotiating with Houston. Let him spend $900K trying to get it back. I also would clear out his office the day he paid the $6.5M fee to terminate his contract.

NCAA: 68–67 (.504)

Great - another supposed Big Ten powerhouse hiring a coach that is barely .500 for his career. Yippee...
In fairness, he did make Rutgers, a perennial doormat at least competitive. I don't think his ceiling is very high, though. And I think O'Brien was a better coach/recruiter. He was a hot name about 4-5 years ago. Not so much anymore.

I also predict a Schiano led PSU will be back to the elite level
I don't see it. He did an good job at Rutgers, but he still never even managed to win a title in the powderpuff Big East. I think he can get them to around where they were from '05-'11...a consistent 8-9 win team, with maybe a run at a B1G title every few years once he gets them rebuilt a couple years down the road, but I don't see him as an "elite" coach. I think O'Brien, in time, would have given better results.

There are 28 Rutgers players in the NFL that Schiano brought in and coached...
Add a Christian Hackenburg tier QB + B1G kicker and you have an impressive team
He recruits VERY well in Florida
