I think Zimpher also refused to go along with some hair brained stadium expansion scheme that the university couldn't afford. She flat out told them that the stadium is nowhere full now, so why are we going to spend tens of millions of dollars to build more empty seats. That didn't sit well with the juggalos. Needless to say the dumber elements in the juggalo kingdom inevitably accused her of deliberately holding their football program back so that it couldn't challenge Ohio State.

Interestingly, that flagship-baiting clown that they have now has completely green lit this boondoggle.

One has to wonder what impact Crazy Joe Lubrano and the cultist faction of the Board of Trustees may have had on the possible last minute defection of Zimpher and what other possible candidates may be backing away due to the distasteful prospect of having to work with them.

So I was just attempting to read some of the thread linked above and just can't keep myself at all interested...

Serious question: What exactly do they want their BoT to do?

Another serious question: Do you thank that the first order of business at all BoT meetings is to give Lubrano a word search puzzle to keep him quiet for a few hours so the rest of them can conduct their meeting?

It irks me to no end seeing Army and Chair Force wearing camo uniforms out and about. Particularly on Universities where the ROTC children playing Officer probably haven't even gone through OCS yet - and thus haven't earned the right to wear the uniform.
But regardless of that, they should never be wearing camo around in public. That's what the Service uniforms are for. We're not waging war on the civilian populace, that uniform has no place in off-base and off-duty environments. It's also fundamentally a work uniform; it'd be like a car mechanic going to restaurants, football games, etc. in grease-stained coveralls. Now just replace the grease with blood and you have my viewpoint on the matter.
Then again, I suppose most of the people in the Army and Chair Force are so far removed from the reality of their jobs that perhaps it never occurs to them or their Politician-like leadership.

PS Penn State is not, and has never been, a rival. They probably give us a game more consistently than the majority of the Big Ten, but there is nothing particularly rivalry about it. Though I realize they're quite desperate for such a rivalry to exist as a means of enhancing their own reputation.
