You've got to be kidding. on the video posted, there were three egregious Reply
holds. I have no idea how you could miss them. Mauti's was right in front of the official. You have to assume one of two issues: total and complete incompetence or malfeasance. Take your pick.

Ad that to the phantom "holding" call on Bars on the punt return, the non-call faceguarding on the fake punt...check the tape, with about 1:40 left, your TE, #81 mugs Mauti as Miller gets the corner for a 9 yard gain and a first down. Mauti gets in his face and screams and #81 just laughs.

Someone help me out here... My google search regarding a rule against faceguarding on a pass play in NCAA football yielded the result that there is no such rule.

Courtesy of Knapplc, I'll just leave this here:

Paterno got his share of calls over the years
Good lord. I should have known they were taking the cue from Paterno......it just makes so much sense. I actually thought those idiots came up with that conspiracy theory on their own, and that's my mistake. They can't do anything without Paterno telling them to do it first.

Maybe a few years in purgatory will change this mindset. (Hopefully).

Appears there may be a presser later today to announce "major new development in the case." Spanier charged with perjury and obstruction of justice.

Reports: Graham Spanier charged

Former Penn State president Graham Spanier has been charged in relation to the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal, and the Pennsylvania state attorney general is due to make an announcement Thursday, multiple media outlets reported.

Spanier will be charged with perjury and obstruction of justice by Attorney General Linda Kelly, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, which cited anonymous sources in its report.

Kelly and state police commissioner Frank Noonan are scheduled to host a news conference in Harrisburg, Pa., to announce what sources are calling a major new development in the case, according to the report.

The news comes almost one year after Sandusky, a former Penn State defensive coordinator, was arrested and charged with repeated sexual abuse of young boys dating to 1996. The charges were the catalyst for one of the biggest scandals in the history of college sports.

Cont'd ...

Odds are pretty good that one out of the three will roll over and cut a deal. Of course, this will change nothing in the cult. There's no amount of damning evidence or testimony that will ever cause JoePed's sainthood to be called into question.

We just have to settle for the solace that 99.9% of the country outside of Central PA now sees him for the twisted, evil egomaniac that he was.

I have a good friend who works in the Department of Justice in DC (and he's a Penn State grad). He's been about the only voice coming from the Penn State crowd saying these guys are all dirty AND he's been calling the Clery Act "something that will happen sooner rather than later"....he's been spot on so far with the stuff we've seen, so I'd imagine we'll see more here soon.

FWIW he's always said (from back in the late 90s when he went to school there), that the football culture was rotting that place to the core.
