Why did Urban Meyer retire from coaching?

Yes, after 5 games in which his biggest win is against a team that lost at home to Iowa State and Central Michigan...Babyface O'Billiken is the new Nick Saban.

LET'S STOP THIS, NOW!

Nick Saban wouldn't have lost to the Ohio University Bobcats!
Or a thoroughly mediocre Virginia team. Less than mediocre, actually.
But if they somehow win Saturday, O'brien will be new icon for a year.
They may even give him a statue!

If they somehow win on Saturday, the pedsters will be the least of our worries. There will be a growing howl from Appalachian Ohio and the puffing out of green clad pigeon chests throughout the heart of it all.

In all fairness, in Nick Saban's first 5 games as a Big Ten head coach, he was 2-2-1. 1-2 at home, 0-1-1 in conference.

L vs. Nebraska 50-10
W at Louisville 30-10
T at Purdue 35-35
W vs. Boston College 25-21
L vs. Iowa 21-7

2 wins were against Louisville (beat Kentucky and Northern Illinois in first 2 games, finished 7-4) and BC (finished 4-8).

There really ARE similarities! :)

anyone been seeing this going around on FB

Since Penn State and Ohio State will be eligible for a Bowl and can't play, both schools should one up the NCCA and all those meaningless Bowl Games and have a Charity Championship Game on New Years Day with all ticket sales donated to child abuse. It's a nice way too not punish innocent students for another person's actions.

Started by a PSU fan, and he's been posting it everywhere

kinda funny there's over 46,000 "likes" for this

PSU also had two weeks to prepare for Iowa. Often times that makes a huge difference. Of course, it could just be that PSU was that much better than Iowa.

Iowa has been decimated by injuries on offense. That made it a whole lot easier to blow them out. Not as great a win as it appears. But Ped State looks pretty tough right now.
