I remember coach O'Brien saying he is used to an NFL roster of 53 players and that he can compete with a roster of 65 quality scholarship players and some dedicated walk-ons.

It's a lot easier to compete with a roster of 53 when all your opponents have rosters of 53 as well.

And you put the team through a rigorous pre-season camp where you cut those who can't perform and make trades and/or pick up players off waivers to fill your gaps.

The analogy is so mind bottling stupid that it really doesn't justify a response.

College Freshmen = NFL rookies.... yep

I was hoping for a 1-11 type season.... but the more I think about it, a decent first season will make there fall even more funny.

The reasons that there limited numbers is going to kill them is so numerous I can't see how anybody with a brain can argue there going to be ok.
