Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

I think this is my favorite thread of all time:

http://bwi.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?SID=890&fid=36&style=2&tid=156764101&Page=2

They have a thread discussing their least favorite visiting fan bases. And they're whining about the fans who are visiting that thread. Ha!

This post is pretty good:

Here are other polls you should do:

Least favorite kid Sandusky raped;
Least favorite vacated win;
Least favorite 2012 meaningless game;
Least favorite bowl PSU cannot play in;
Favorite game during era that Sandusky was using program to help rape kids;
If you could go back in time and you were given the following options, which would you choose: a) PSU has 2 national championships and no season with less than 9 wins, but Sandusky is allowed to rape kids for over a decade; or b) Sandusky never rapes a kid but PSU never wins more than 6 games in a season. Anyone that chooses a should be shot.

For the guy saying JoePa is better than Ferentz - 8-2 (or is it 8-0?).

I wonder if it is at all possible the NCAA could just add the four-year Death Penalty to the existing sanctions, if Penn State (its BOT and the Paterno Family) doesn't stop with the appeals and lawsuits.

Eh, you're probably right, Nutria. After the tattoo-gate BS and now this [Mark May] at Penn State, I'm having a hard time getting excited about College Football. It's like the insane are running the asylum here. Our (we fans) passion and love for all thing "our team" has been taken advantage of and used. It really puts it in perspective for me. It's making it difficult for me to even put my SEC-hate on.

:lol:

I was wondering if CFB was becoming too sleazy to follow anymore. I'm starting to reconcile things since the NCAA (adequately) hammered PSU for violating the game I love. I have a restored sense that there is purity in CFB since justice was meted out to the worst transgressor in history. It's a healing process we need to go through. Watch PSU lose miserably over the next few years and you will feel better about being a fan.:cheers:

BTW, Tattoo-gate was so relatively minor compared to PSU cover-up scandal that I wouldn't mention them together.

They have left it open for more punishment. A lawsuit or 2 would piss off the NCAA and that could be fun. But I admit to liking the slow death punishment they are getting now. I don't think I'm sadistic in this.
I just like to watch the fun! :popcorn:

As you will recall we issued harsh sanctions to the Penn State University in the wake of severe problems surrounding a coverup of child rape. We reached an agreement with the University, including that it was not subject to appeal. As you are aware, several people on the Board of Trustees appealed anyway, on behalf of the University.

Consequently, we were invited to conduct our own review. Which we have done. Not only do we re-affirm the findings of the Freeh report, we have uncovered he following NCAA violations......

First paragraph on page 2 of the Binding Consent Decree signed by PSU representative:

Penn State has communicated to the NCAA that it accepts the findings of the Freeh Report for purposes of this resolution and acknowledges that those facts constitute violations of the Constitutional and Bylaw principles described in the letter. Penn State expressly agrees not to challenge the consent decree and waives any claim to further process, including, without limitation, any right to a determination of violations by the NCAA Committee on Infractions, any appeal under NCAA rules, and any judicial process related to the subject matter of this Consent Decree.
Good luck with your appeal/lawsuit.

Emmert went Luca Brasi on their asses and told them that either their signature or their brains would be on that consent decree. Now McCombie, Lubrano and whomever is dumb enough to follow them want to go back and say, "actually, make it our brains.
