Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Rece Davis - "Bill, what provisions are in your contract, that potentially would even allow you to leave, now that these sanctions have kicked in?"

BoB - "I have a 5 year contract, I also have an addendum to that contract, that if there were sanctions there would be years added on to my contract; but I've committed to Penn State. The details of my contract are really between my wife and I, and the powers-that-be at Penn State, Dr. Erickson and Dr. Joyner. But I have a 5-year contract that I've told Penn State that I'm going to commit to."

My comment - Somebody needs to submit a FOIA request ASAP to PSU, asking for the full contract to be published. If Penn State doesn't want to make public the contract of the person that's probably their highest-paid employee - things aren't changing enough in Nittany land. And if they don't want to release his contract, they should be lambasted for that.

If the were to be sanctions, they had to ADD years to his contract? As in, the opposite of an out clause? Sounds like a man who knew already that if this thing goes tits up, he's not good enough to sniff another half-decent coaching job. Not only are they stuck with a third-rate coach, but he knows that he's third-rate.

Leave it alone for God's sake. PSU coaches are historically the lowest paid in College football. IIRC the annual salary field is only 7 characters including cents. Most of the contract verbiage deals with personal loans, height and weight restrictions for monuments and genuflection protocol.

Seriously, if you think they're out of their minds now, wait until the losing starts. I can already imagine the conspiracy theories that are going to be thrown around about everyone wanting them to lose. I might start missing work just to read their boards.

Was Silas Redd apart of the 38 player press conference? Cause if he leaves, their fucked. who are they gonna depend on? Matt Mcgloin?

O'Brien also told the parents that he has talked to Nike about changing Penn State's plain blue and white uniforms, a staple of the program for decades under former coach Joe Paterno. He also said he's looking to put names on the back of the jerseys.

Not clear if the names will be those of players or local eateries.

The darkest day in Penn State history will not be the day that Jerry Sandusky raped a 10 year old boy in their locker room shower.

Their darkest day will be the day McGloin runs on the field wearing a jersey that says - "McGloin".
