Well, according to Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports during the Jim Tressel situation, Ohio State was bathing in money from bowl revenue (even though he never actually did the math).

If the Big Ten withheld money from the CIC, that would hit Penn State harder (the B1G didn't do that though).

I was under the impression that OSU also profited from the Sugar Bowl directly as a participant...
