Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

I see a lot of them saying the Syracuse thing was exactly the same. Did I miss where Fine was convicted of 40+ counts of sexual abuse of a minor, and where he used the Syracuse facilities in order to entice his victims to spend alone time with him? Where the administration and Boeheim was shown to be covering up for Bernie to be "humane" towards him? Did I miss something here?

A bit of a stretch - but there are some hooks.

Bobby Davis, now 39, told ESPN's "Outside The Lines" that he was a constant companion of Fine beginning in 1983 when Davis was entering the seventh grade. The alleged actions took place at Fine's home, Syracuse basketball facilities and on road trips.

What makes this story troublesome for Boeheim is that while the head coach may not have had explicit knowledge of these incidents, Boeheim allegedly walked in on Fine in his shorts or Davis on Fine's bed. Furthermore, no one questioned this close relationship between an adult and teenager.

'Cuse also did an investigation in 2005 but found nothing.

Right but when the recording came to light, Fine was fired immediately. He wasn't given emeritus status and a fucking office at the sports complex.

Still very dark and disturbing crimes, but the the university did what it had to do when it had the information to act upon. Completely different galaxy from Ped State.

Of course you did. Only Penn State fans 'get it'. I've seen posts over there stating the Syracuse situation is actually worse.

So it must be true.

The only thing that's missing is the chalk outline and a fat PSU fan trying to hug it.

Re: NCAA to hand down "unprecedented" sanctions
I don't think there was a lack of institutional control at Penn State. If anything, there was WAY TOO MUCH institutional control

Arkansas to Be Punished by NCAA?
This is a legit question since the NCAA is now breaking its own rules by sanctioning non-competitive edge issues. Petrino had an affair with an athletic department employee. Boy, do we need a great lawyer! Man up, Board and Erickson!!

Because banging an employee who is of age is illegal like banging little boys.....

Even if a "death penalty" is not issued, If the penalties are steep enough and there is an over amount of mass transfers, I could still see State Penn being forced to possibly cancel their football season due to not being able to field a capable team....WE WERE!
