What they NEED to find is a Jim Tressel type, meaning a smaller college coach who has been successful in the area that can weather the next few years and maybe be a great coach. In 4-5 years, if he fails, then they can go out and try to hire a Home Run type coach... or they might have stumbled across the next Joe Pa.

OK, I'm getting a little bored with the Ped Aggy boards melting down because no coach as been named yet, and I'd like to move on to the phase where they melt down because a no-name D lister gets the job.

When the only coach on earth who wants the job (Bradley) gets the job, they're going to be talking him up, calling him one of the best former assistants in CFB, etc. The last thing you'll get out of that delusional fan base is an admission that hiring Bradley is a sign of the depths to which the program has sunk.

January 2nd is "black Monday" in the NFL Probably several "current" NFL coaches will instantly become unemployeed and looking for work. Penn State may have more options next week.

These guys used this Sandusky incident as a front to fire Joe and you expect reinstatement? The BOT knew Joe did the right thing...why do you think they tried to shut him up? Spanier and Joe were at odds on Sandusky being on campus(legally Spanier was correct) ..maybe this will come out next year..I hope so for Joe's reputation.

He must be reinstated.
The scandal is more a JS scandal. Only one of the allegations happened on the PSU campus. All of the allegations occurred while JS was an ex-employee. Child molestation is the worst of crimes but we as fans and alumni should not sit idle while the University and Joe are themselves victims (less severe) of a media driven witch hunt.

Joe deserved and earned the benefit of the doubt until his involvement or lack of it is validated. Big Red clearly said that he never told Joe all the details from the 2002 incident.

The cowards on the BOT have allowed Joe and the entire university to be "guilty" with-out the appropriate response to the one sided grand jury report.

I followed the Lions since 1968 and their tradition - cemented by Joe is what motivates me to contribute, support and follow the team. With out this tradition they are just another team. I firmly believe there will be many empty seats at Beaver stadium in the coming years. Sure, they may have a run with a great new coach and fill the stadium but when the wins cycle to just a 8- 9 win season, Beaver Stadium will resemble a Pitt home game- again with out this tradition they are just another team.

I need to stay off that board. I'm actually growing angry at the insanity of these "people".
