Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

They're all kooks.

I went to the game in 2005 in Happy Valley. I'll never step foot on that campus ever again for a variety of reasons.

Here are a few instances that I recall vividly while on campus.

1. When my group of friends went up to an older gentleman in his late 60's or early 70's to inquire about buying his tickets, his response was, "The day I sell my seats to an Ohio State fan will be the day I die. Take yourselves away from my space."

2. After the game, instead of their fans celebrating a victory, they decided to get into a huge fight amongst themselves. The premise: the Peguins are tougher and better than the Flyers. The Eagles could whip the Steelers. My Phillies teabag your Pirates all day long. It was literally a full blown brawl between Philly and Pittsburgh fans.

3. Once the fight got broken up, and the cops realized the fight wasn't between OSU and Ped State fans, the cops decided to escort myself, and my three friends, one of which who was going to Penn State at the time, down the street so nobody would assault us.

I've seen my fair share of a-hole fans, Michigan, Wisconsin, including some OSU d-bag who dumped his entire beer on the head of a Michigan fan who was walking down the street with his wife and two little kids (the OSU kid almost got his face beat in by other OSU fans after that stunt), but the people in Ballslappy Valley are by far the worst I've come across, and this whole pedophelia abomination seals the deal.

Been saying this for years. Wiscy student/20 something alumni are obnoxious but not really dangerous. Michigan student (particularly if it's some Ivy League reject from the Northeast) is insufferably arrogant. Walmart Wolverine is a joke all unto himself.

Nothing is worse than Ped Aggy. Ped Aggy student, Ped Aggy young alumnus and Ped Aggy old alumnus are a-holes. Combine USC arrogance with Domer "everybody cheats except us" self-righteousness and throw in weird A&M cult-like behavior mixed in with Ped Aggy's own homegrown (really no precedent for it in college football) conspiracy theories as to why they're not dominating the conference, and you have a sick and toxic brew.

For every respectful fan, there are a score of exactly what you mentioned out there. I'm seriously considering seeing a specialist after reading some of those posts from their message boards. I'm getting a twitch in my left eyelid.

As The Shower (at Ped State) Turns...

Source: Mike Munchak's 'heart is torn'

Penn State has not given up hope it can lure Mike Munchak for its coaching vacancy, a persistence grounded in the belief the Titans coach may listen to the Nittany Lions after all, sources said Saturday.

Munchak has repeatedly stated he would remain at Tennessee, but a source close to him said Munchak is struggling with the concept that he can "fix and make right" his alma mater.

Munchak

"He loves his school and his heart is torn," the source said Saturday. "He really fits what they want and need to a tee."
The source said Munchak's situation should be resolved within a week. The Titans end their season Sunday against the Texans in Houston.

Two sources said Saturday New England Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien is a candidate if Munchak does not reconsider. O'Brien is the offensive play-caller for Tom Brady.
Another source said Penn State also would remain interested in Rutgers coach Greg Schiano, a former Penn State assistant, though it is unclear if Schiano would reciprocate the interest.

Eh, Houston ********> A&M & Florida. Oklahoma? I think we'd lose them, and they're better than Houston
As for the Head Coach search, it?s * Supposedly* down to:

Nick Saban, Les Miles, Mark Richt, Bo Pelini, David Shaw, Bret Bielema or Mike Gundy.

You can eliminate Richt, Bret, & Gundy because they don?t have any NFL experience.

Which leaves you with Saban, Miles, Pelini, or Shaw

Now, multiple PSU (And I emphasize PSU, not national, PSU) sources say it?ll be ground shattering. Huge, y?know? These are also the more realist people. Basically, most of them wanted Joe gone, and they?re less biased than I am.

So, following the ground shattering comment, that leaves it with Saban or Miles.

So, who knows, Joyner has been sending out oodles of smoke screens and things to throw people off. Nobody really knows anything. Just most connected to the program think it?ll be big.

On a side note, most of the search committee is on vacation, which gives Creedence to the notion that we have our man

Some guy at Penn State Hershey just discovered a virus that eats cancer. Where were the CNN trucks for that? Now Someone at PSU found something that could cure Leukemia. Coverage? None. THON will probably break $10 mil this year. Put that on "Outside the Lines" you sanctimonious pricks!

I just want to put it out there that I remain interested in banging Jessica Alba although it is unclear if the stuck up bitch would reciprocate the interest.

If this was any other fanbase, I'd say a troll had infiltrated their ranks and was making fun of them. But these people really are this nuts. It's incredible. The FBI should have tanks descending on happy valley...these subhuman wackjobs are as loony as the Branch Davidians.

Ri-iii-ight...'cause in the history of sex crimes, NOBODY has ever been raped on impulse, or by a total stranger, or by a mere acquaintance; no child has ever been molested because some stray pedophile was passing by and saw an opportunity and, literally, seized it...what did I do with that photo of a bomb? Imagine it here:

Is there any way we could work out something diplomatically so one of the myriad of nuke-bearing counties who dislike us, and want political props from their own constituents, could "handle" this reeking mass of real estate called PA, and agree to not have it count as an act of war? Maybe we could trade someone some wheat & oats, or jeeps & planes, for the favor.

Word is out that Ron Paul is interested if he loses big in Iowa. Rick Perry may also want a shot if New Hampshire goes overwhelmingly to Romney.
