Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Why won't the B1G and TV partners cater to the White Out?

Dear Penn State,
You've done nothing but bitch and cash checks since you arrived. Maybe ask yourself how big your check would be from the Big East.
Love,
The Rest of the Big Ten

PS, don't drop your soap in the shower.
They probably think that if they had been in the Big East, the Big East would have become the premier league instead of being ripped apart by the Big 10 and ACC.

I'm pretty sure that your sentence is true without your second word.

Dear Penn State, while you're thinking about it, The Big Ten pushed to expand Daylight Savings Time just to make it more difficult for you to have a whiteout.
The Big Ten also created COVID so that they wouldn't have a white out game in 2020.

The B1G developed a team of international stealth pedophiles...fucking ninja pedos...to infiltrate the Penn State athletic facility and ass fuck some boys in the shower, just so it could bring Joe Paterno down.
In case I ever run for office one day, I want to make it clear that I'm laughing about the fact that Penn State fans would probably believe that, not the idea of ninja pedophiles. A bunch of people who look like Chris Farley in a ninja outfit running around, trying to lure kids into vans with candy.

This post has been up for 6 hours, with no responses, yet. I'd guess that he's a Pitt spy, or something.
And they were only within a touchdown for 4 of the losses. And 4 of the wins were against the likes of crappy Illinois, Minnesota, Auburn, and Iowa teams. People on this thread keep parroting the "The atmosphere is worth a touchdown" schtick, and isn't home field advantage supposed to be another 3 points? A bunch of grown men are literally whining over not getting to play dress up in their finest whites for a season- can't make that shit up!

Like I said: Overrated!

He's responding to some posts about how Penn State is 11-8 in the white outs. One guy says that Penn State was only favored in 8 of those games, so they're doing better than they should.

I love how they insist on being told what to wear to their gatherings.
And then they insist that they are not a cult.
Also, I love how they insist that their AD throw his weight around and the Big Ten should listen to Penn State's scheduling demands.

Kraft needs to step up here, and definitely for the future. If Illinois is true, they are killing off their 1 great advantage and ‘event’ that gets national attention. The last 3 white outs will have been Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois.

If the Big Ten can make scheduling exceptions so that Ohio State and Michigan always get their game on the same day, same time, with other protected rivals etc, they can make sure PSU has a good night home game in late September/ early October for the White out. Rotate through USC, OSU, Michigan, Washington, Oregon, UCLA. There’s plenty of flexibility in that request.

Gosh. If only they'd been able to set up their own conference where their coach would be the de-facto commissioner and have final say over things like scheduling and referees. What a dream.

My understanding is that they were only about 7 teams away from being able to create their own 8-team conference.
Ha - reminds me of the time someone wanted to leave the NCAA and join the NAIA. Penn State would make the NAIA a fair competitor to the NCAA. They wanted to create a conference of NAIA teams in Pennsylvania.

Just remember to thank the French. It was they who forceably drove the Pennsylvania traders out after they overran Columbus in the 1740s. That's right. Check Wikipedia. But for the heroic French...you're Kevin Bacon...thank you sir, may I have another.

So.....because the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry is massive, Penn State should have it written into the bylaws that they get an "advantage" every year? Is that what makes sense to these dingleberries?

My interpretation of this situation:
The Game is always at the end of the season, and at the same time (they forget about 2006, apparently). If OSU and the cheaters can dictate this protected rivalry, surely Penn State, the mecca of all that is pure and good and awesome and the obvious #1 draw in the Big Ten, if not the entire universe, should be able to make their own scheduling requirements.
By the way, this stat is currently amazing to me: 4 Big Ten championships for Penn State. Not 4 in the past 4 years. Not 4 in 5 years or the last 10 years. 4 championships in their entire history. 31 years.
In that same time period, we all know who has won the most conference championships. Ohio State has 14. The cheaters have won 8. Penn State must surely be #3, right? No. Wisconsin has 6 championships. Penn State is #4 with 4. They're 1 championship better than Michigan State and Northwestern (3 each). (Note that before 2011, there were many years with multiple champions.)
Here's a fun idea I may look into: Since the White-Out began, how many times has The Game determined the champion? And how many times has the White-Out determined a champion?

this is the part that makes them so fucking detestable. it's not just that they want to have their own requirements. it's that the requirement they want is something that puts them above everybody else. they don't want equality, they want superiority. superiority that they....as you pointed out with the second part of your post.....have never come close to earning. not even by a little bit.

they're the little kid in line at the ice cream truck who sees that timmy was able to ask for his favorite flavor icy pop, so in their minds that entitles them to own the fucking ice cream truck. if timmy got "something", they should get "something", too.

They just don't get it. Ohio State-tcun is ALWAYS the highest rated regular season game in college football, and it draws huge ratings in all the major metro areas across the country. When I was a kid growing up in the 80s out West and all the games were on ABC, the 9AM game was Ohio State-tcun televised nationally, and the noon game was broken up into regional rivalries (UCLA-USC, Bama-Auburn, Pitt-pedsters etc) It's the biggest rivalry in college sports and probably in US sports overall. Its ratings would usually put it second or third for any NFL week during the season. It's not that the B1G is trying to screw the pedsters; it's that they are simply following the money and promoting what is, by far, their biggest and most valuable product.
