If the NCAA can vacate OSU's 2010 season because of tattoos, then I think raping little boys deserves the NCAA vacating JoePa's entire record since the allegations were brought up to Joe.

That'd be a little over a decade, AFAIK. Slap on another decade of schollie reductions for safety.

Oh, and hire RichRod after this current guy leaves. That'll show 'em!

Punishments are all speculative right now but the Freeh Report leaks are painting a picture of Paterno as a Godfather like control freak. The NCAA frowns on such things I've heard. :tongue2:
There is a shit storm headed their way and they deserve all of it.

+1. There is nothing in these reports about the black graduation rate that Joe is directly responsible for. That's what we should be discussing instead of this tired JS nonsense. JS is ancient history but the media just want to rant about JS and his heinous acts and how Joe allowed that to go on. Total BS. Joe did his job and he did it well. The others above him, not so much.

Do they think that the school would be subject to minimal damage because they fired Joe and now he's dead?

Here's a message for the BOT. Blame this on Joe and the PSU brand is tarnished forever. Joe was a symbol for everything that was right about college football. PSU football players were generally more respectful and graduated at a higher rate than most other universities. Success with Honor didn't come out of the engineering program. The library has Paterno's name on it. Blaming Paterno hurts PSU irreparably.

Didn't these guys ever watch Miracle on 34th Street? The judge knew better than to rule that there was no Santa Claus. They could learn from judge Henry X. Harper.

I seriously want to look up in the PSU catalog and see if there's a class on "How to be the Reich Minister of propaganda."

I mean, it's really gone past whether or not Joe was good, evil, old or dumb.... its about controlling the message... he needs to appear to be good... for them... Much like the "Even Jesus was flawed" line of BS from before, now we have, "The judge knew better than to rule that there was no Santa Claus"

Touching... though, ORD, rather than your idea of digging up Joe's corpse to put it on trial... and thus making him a mummified martyr (there's no way he's decomposed a but, too Lenin-esque for all that), maybe they should just take him to an Eagles game.
