Why do they make it so easy for me?
Some Buckeye fan asks why they hate us so much. Most or all are boring, predictable answers. And this one is no different:
I'll go back to Adam Telifaro's injury and the immediate pass at his back up while taking a knee by Cooper probably would have finished the game. I can't recall all the details. I greatly respect what the medical staff at the university did that day.

I've read this on there a bunch. Since the kids are making me watch Harry Potter, I figured I had time to look this up:

Jump to about 1:20:00. They finally get Taliaferro off the field, and play resumes. I'll give the crackpot opinions the benefit of the doubt and assume the next play goes to the same side of the field as the previous play. However, Penn State is in man-to-man defense, and, assuming that's the replacement CB, he covers the receiver. The pass goes to the tight end who's WIDE OPEN behind the replacement - not to the receiver being covered by the replacement. Also, and probably more importantly, Scott McMullen was the quarterback. This was 2000. His freshman year. So they're upset that a freshman quarterback threw the ball to a wide open tight end against them, and it just happened to be on the same side of the field as their injured defensive back.
Next play was a running play the opposite direction for a touchdown.
(Note that they're also mad at Michigan State for handing off to a lineman who ran something like 10 or 15 yards for a touchdown.)

Well it's IDIOT FAN BASE 1A week. 100% sure they will win, except that the refs will screw them over. Think they're as good as Wisconsin. Says defense is overrated. This is the same fan base that wants so badly to go back and play the likes of Syracuse, Pitt, and WV. With honor and all that jazz.

Well fuck them!!!!!!!

Good outcome from the pile fund: check
Detrimental penalty at crucial time so they remember who they are playing fund: check
"Are you fucking kidding me with that" replay overturned insurance fund: check
Toss that fucking statue into a live volcano fund: check.
