If you don't hate anyone and nobody hates you, you're not trying hard enough at life. Every man should have a "coldcock list." That's a list of 3-5 other men that you would like to (but you can't in this graceless, litigious age we live in) walk up to and punch should you ever find yourself in the same bar, airport lounge or floating craps game as them. Any less than three, and you're fucking Ned Flanders. Any more than six, and the problem most likely lies with you, not them.

I think a lot of people had an inkling about the type of people we're dealing with.

The early claims about how they were going to dominate the Big Ten. Then the later denials that they'd ever said such things.

The allegations of being treated as a second class citizen by the conference when they were given a number of concessions from the beginning.

Paterno pooping his pants was photoshopped.

The unending stream of bullshit has never stopped throwing up red flags.

That was, to this day, one of the greatest things I've witnessed on the internet. Callous? Yes. Horrifically inappropriate? Absolutely. But it tickled my funny bone.

Tejas fans are horribly misinformed about their place in the CFB world. They have an annoying sense of self-righteousness that rivals the clowns from up north. But damned if they aren't funny when they want to be.

I didn't click on the link, or look at that thread. But I'd be shocked if a single one of those "fans" brings up the fact that this whole thing would have been avoided if Sandusky didn't touch any kids, or if McQueary told the police, or if Paterno slapped McQueary in the back of the head and told him to call the police. Any one of those 3 things happens and this thread doesn't exist. Penn State isn't ridiculed on message boards across the nation. (At least, not for this. I guess' they'd still have their laughable "ring of pretty good seasons".) Of course, I don't know who the head coach is. Assuming Paterno still passes away, they obviously have to find someone to take over. And without a common enemy for the fanbase to hate, I doubt they'd ever rally behind one head coach. But I guess that a fanbase's trust/respect for a head coach doesn't mean that the head coach is going to be successful. Oh well. Let's just assume that if any one of those 3 things takes place, Hackenberg leads Penn State to 3 national championships. Maybe only 2, but they got screwed out of 1 his freshman year because the Big Ten still hates them.

If the Sandusky scandal never leaks out into the public, Tom Bradley was probably going to get that job. From all indications, Bradley was the coach in waiting at the end of the Joesus regime. There was a significant segment of The Cult that was pissed Bradley was not retained for the permanent head coaching job even after the scandal broke.
