I can't decide who I want to win the NCAA basketball tournament more, Syracuse or North Carolina. The Cult is so consumed by jealousy and anger that neither school had their scandal rise to Sandusky levels that either champion will result in an epic Cult meltdown. I guess I am pulling for a Syracuse championship because the Cult meltdown will be spectacular. The Cult sure does hate Boeheim over his "I'm not Joe Paterno" quote when the Bernie Fine story broke and because ESPN supposedly covered up the story because something, something, every employee at ESPN went to Syracuse.

But the Cult also despises UNC because their academic scandal sullies the good name of schools who practice "Success With Honor."

For those unable to decide who the Cult should whine about more, here is a handy thread in which the Cult ranks each of the Final Four participants by magnitude of their scandal. Syracuse and UNC are installed as the overwhelming top two seeds in the tournament of Cult whining:

1) Syracuse as the top seed - having an "Active Assistant Coach" committing sexual harassment with Ballboys on the road......and then sweeping it under the rug......with a head coach being given sanctions at the beginning of the year....very deserved top seed.

2) North Carolina - right behind CUSE - in most years their lack of enforcing any academic standards would be a shoe in....not this year. UNC scores points in that this corruption went through many sports not just basketball and shows what one can do when an Athletic Department focuses on the one important aspect of sports in the NCAA....winning.

I think my favorite type of BWI thread is when some Cultist leaves the hive and discovers what the rest of the country thinks about them and the notion that they are the real victims. In the linked thread, the OP ventures to Indianapolis for a seminar and one of the speakers cited PSU as an example of a University cover-up. The result is predictably hilarious, with the OP even getting confronted by facts from other attendees and having to control his rage. LOL.

The linked thread is awesome. Naturally, it is all the Board of Trustees' fault. The Cult is furious that people still don't understand the FAX.

Ok, so which one of you in Northeast Ohio spotted a Cultist van and left a nasty message under the windshield wiper that the people who travel in that van are pedophile enablers?

I also like that the guy posts about an event he has no way of proving took place, or anyone proving didn't take place. I bet he sat there and didn't utter a word in defense of Penn State.

I like how they put ridiculous things in the "responses from the crowd" to make it seem like the rest of the world is that out of touch with what happened. Nobody actually thinks Paterno raped anybody, but every one of these stories has a "somebody even told me Paterno deserved to be fired because he raped those boys" comment in them.

Good point. But to be fair, you'll get a loon in any crowd "big enough". You know - flat earthers, hollow earthers, hollow mooners, people who think Bush/Obama/Trump is a reptilian, etc. Come to think of it, David Icke may have been at the seminar.

But yeah - the responses from the crowd. "One guy actually said that Joe Paterno raped HIS son and his son became impregnated by Joe Paterno and his son gave birth to a baby and that baby has since raped all the other babies in the entire world and has invited the reptilian overlords to his house and has become the king of the reptilians and now we're all enslaved by this demonic offspring of Joe Paterno's." It happened.
