And here it is. If you ever wanted to know what it's like to live in Pennsylvania...in one post.
Now a retired teacher, I work part-time in a small meat shop. Yesterday I was ringing up at the register and an OSU sweatshirt appeared in front of me on a 70-year old man. I jokingly said -after Saturday, I can't wait on you. We both laughed.
A co-worker asked if I was a PS fan. Affirmed. The next question was - even with all the Joe Paterno stuff that went on? I half seriously said I won't work here if you are going to put down Joe for doing what was right. We then held a quick 5-minute tutorial on the situation. Another worker is standing and listening and nodding in agreement with what I am saying. The schooled co-worker was shocked at what I shared and said "I had never heard of all those things happening."
That's because, as BBrown stated, media isn't smart enough to dig into this. Or they don't want to as they have their fall guy.

Number one, bullshit. For the thousandth time, bullshit. Nobody who has a strong enough opinion about the shit that happened at Penn State will just completely change their minds on it after some cultist uses his spin job to fight the "false narrative".

Number two, that joke is not fucking funny. I hear it every fucking day of my life. I get it, you're mad because I like a team that beats you all the time. You are not the first person to pretend like you couldn't take my order at Arbys, or take my ticket into an arts fest, or take my picture at the DMV, or bag my groceries, or take my order at Houlihans. You won't be the last. I smile and laugh and act like you're clever, because it's easier than punching you in the throat for being unoriginal. Get a new line, you shitbag fan base.

I'm curious what information the five minute tutorial contained. I assume the only information would be that Paterno told his superiors and that was all that was legally required.

Don't worry that Paterno had no superiors at the University in practice. Or that the police were the proper people to inform. Or that Sandusky continued to bring kids to the football facility for a decade after the initial "report" with no follow up. Or that this was at least the second time Paterno knew about allegations of Sandusky with boys, the previous run in resulting in Sandusky's abrupt retirement.

Nope. I'm sure that five minute briefing covered all of those things with information that has never been revealed publicly.

I mean, seriously, go back and read the Paterno family's official take down of the Freeh report.

It basically boils down to: the Freeh report says the office was "right next to" the other. In reality, the office is down the hall. The Freeh report is clearly full of false information so all of it is a lie.

That (or something very similar) made their top ten list of official rebuttals.

All bullshit stories that these mouth breathers create and then trumpet to the rest of the cult. They are so fucked up emotionally that they actually feel a need to gain the approval of other internet posters regarding their actions out there fighting for the reputation of Dear Leader.

These stories remind me of something that happened to me not long ago. I was wearing an Ohio State hoody, and some guy came up to me and started trash talking me that same old media driven story about how Woody punched a player from Clemson. I gave him a good 5 minute education about how the media covered up the camera angle that clearly showed that Woody has trying to give the Clemson guy a congratulatory pat on the back and the kid ducked into it so it looked like a punch. The guy listened attentively, and admitted he never knew about any of this. Hopefully he will tell others about what really happened.

Good job! Make sure you assault anybody who isn't already indoctrinated into the Woody church with the knowledge at all times. Just get right up into their business to let them know that your insanely biased opinion of how things played out is what they should believe for the rest of time.

Another free tip from the elders. It's a bit easier to demonstrate how the guy accidentally ducked into Woody's attempted pat on the back if you indoctrinate the other fellow with the special quick upward Buckeye knee salute.

He'll appreciate being part of the club and quickly see just how easy it is to mistakenly bend forward at the wrong time.

I have come to the realization that I (we) who are informed and have concerns need to start proselytizing by pointing people to Ryan's website, JimmyW's and of course Ray's. It's the only way to overcome the lazy/corrupted journalism.
