Nate, it’s my view that you seem to take an argumentative approach to differences from your view point enough times that it got me to wonder if you were doing it intentionally. It reminded me of a guy I played with during a business golf outing. Penn State was playing his team the coming weekend and he was constantly jabbing me about Penn State’s chances and, he was pretty aggressive about it. At one point I asked him what year he graduated. He said he did not graduate from the school. I told him I wouldn’t take any more crap from someone who was not a graduate, as he didn’t earn the right. He obliged.
Just wanted to see if you had earned the right to express your views. Seems you have, as have I. No offense meant.
I think a true (adj) Penn Stater would be a graduate using the objective true/false criteria.
However, for someone to truly be a Penn Stater, would require a much more subjective, time-based conclusion that would not always require one to be a graduate. My asking if you were a graduate was simply the former. BTW, neither requires any drinking of Kool-Aid.
