Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Kane may be a Joebot, but i kinda thought she was just an opportunistic politician who was simply pandering to morons in order to get elected. Before Kane ran into her legal issues, the Cult would frequently whine that they were sold a bill of goods by electing her on the platform that she was going to make Governor Corbett pay for his slowplaying of the Sandusky scandal. Some of the Cult seemed to have a near Adam Taliaferro level of disappointment with Kane's performance in office even before she was charged with perjury and obstruction of justice.

Kane was the first female and the first Democrat elected state attorney general since it became an elected position in 1980. Before the 2012, BWI and Audibles had lot of posts along the lines of "I have never voted for a Democrat in my life, but I am going to vote for Kane and whoever runs against Corbett."

The same cult leaders - Wendy Silver, Aoshiro, simons96, demlion, Chitown... etc, are still supporting her no matter what and have been trying to organize a rally to support her against the "bad guys"

This.

Kane is not a cultist but she would don a strap on and bang a 10 year old boy if she thought it would help her career. Of that, I have no doubt.

The Cult is all teary-eyed after a Joebot posted Joesus' beyond the grave letter that the Paterno family released to the public in 2012. Like Lincoln at Gettysburg, the words are hallowed and must be treated with respect. Joesus' claim that the Sandusky scandal was not football-related will live on as long as the world produces pedophiles and scumbags to protect them.

Hey, Joesus walked to work. He has to be a saint, right? JFC, the Cult is suggesting stone tablets be erected on campus with Joesus' words on them.

http://bwi.forums.rivals.com/threads/joe-pas-letter-written-in-dec-2011.43256/#post-576689

91Joe95: "The bot never understood what this letter meant"

psufan9808: "Even with his dying words, it was not about him. It was about his players, the men they became, and the school and community that he loved.

What a complete contrast with our BOT. It is only about them, throwing the university, the alumni, football, administrators, and everyone under the bus to protect themselves.

It is a matter of time until many of the deceptions of small and feeble cowards are revealed and it has already been revealed the character of a man named Joe who gave away millions, lived humbly, walked to work, and changed lives."

JoeDidn'tKnow: "His words are immortal. There will never be another JoePa."

marshall23: "Just another example of why this will never be over until the arrogant, scum who call(ed) themselves "The University" are exposed and punished. To think that this group included former player like Joyner and Suhey is astounding."

LafayetteBear: "Wow. Reading that made me feel happy, sad and angry all at the same time. Really bothers me that the lingering emotion is anger, but those BoT people really crapped all over Joe, and it's hard to read a letter confirming that he realized it and had so little time to fight back.

slwlion: "Thank you.. My tears are mingling with my smile."

psuro: "Damn, I miss the old guy."

PSUEngineerx2: "It amazes me how I find reading a several year old letter from him so comforting.

To those who attacked him, especially in his final days, I hope you all burn in hell."

RIP_2_E_Joe_PA: "Who among you wants to contribute to having sculptures carved and erected - giant stone tablets with this letter on it just off the edge of campus on every ROW to campus?"

bkmtnittany1: "The man upstairs is now reaping the benefits of having one Joseph Vincent Paterno around. PSU will always be JVP's heaven on earth....I miss him."

Player2BNamedLater: "Agreed. Can anyone here imagine peetz, or surma, or frazier, or any of the cowards running our university being so graceful....so eloquent in ANYthing they do?"

PSU65: "Thanks for posting. An unbelievable letter. Downside is it got me even more pissed at those scum."

Nittany Ned 2: "Let's not forget that some of those who chose to cast blame on Joe were products of football...Joyner and Suhey.

Personal vendettas and self preservation.

Paul, your father and grand fathers would be ashamed of your distinct lack of character. I hope you are tormented into eternity."

Another good one:

Yes, I think the power brokers knew precisely what they were doing. Tommy the Toad bragged,"I told them to do it." I'm sure privately a few high fives and smirks were shared by the misanthropes. I like how Franco called them out at the board meeting. I didn't see any smirks when he challenged these cowards. God forgive me, I Fn hate them.

He says he's "sure" that "smirks" were shared. But privately. So... he wasn't there. How can he be so sure? Maybe it's a figure of speech? That's my guess.
Anyway, two sentences later, he doesn't see any smirks when they're confronted by Franco. So Franco shows up, and the happiness he imagines the bad guys have goes away. All Hail Franco - He who sitteth on the right hand of Joesus, almighty!

Fucking cults, man. @NFBuck (I think)

I don't recall knowing about that letter before. It's still hard to believe that many of them are so cult indoctrinated they buy a letter clearly written by his family to make the guy look good as gospel.

I think it's stupid to give credit to public figures for doing "good" things like it makes them a great person in the first place. Yeah, they literally pay a publicist a full time salary who works year round to make them look like not an asshole, I sure hope they manage to do some "good" things from time to time.

This is obviously worse. Do you know what humble people do? They don't release open letters to the public dripping with a disgusting amount of self glorification. But it was obviously his family's doing, so I'm sure we can give Paterno a pass.

I also like how easy it is for them to gloss over the dozens and dozens of arrests and other major problems (machete attacks at lunch, anyone) they had throughout the 2000s- and probably much further back that we don't know about thanks to the cult grip on Happy Valley not being semi broken by the Information Age yet.

I know we are broken records in this thread, but my god the cultists suck.

It's pretty clear by now that a huge portion of that alumni and fan base has their very sense of self-identity wrapped up in the myths of Joesus. They can never change, and they will NEVER let it go. The only catalyst for closure will be their deaths. Sad as it is, but this shit will go on for the current PSU administration until the cult's numbers have been heavily thinned over time.

I don't know. I see a The Killing Fields style re-education camps popping up throughout Happy Valley to ensure the next generation is properly indoctrinated in the Success With Honor revolution...
