Just when you think Penn St. can't be any more of a sewer, they manage to raise the bar a little more. The school is going to honor PSU grad Bruce Heim this weekend for his military service. Heim was the largest single donor to Sandusky's Second Mile charity and sat on the board of the Second Mile. When the PSU campus shower incident occurred in 2001, Heim was informed by PSU athletic director Tim Curley about the inicident. Naturally, Heim then told former Second Mile director Jack Raykovitz not to alert fellow board members of what had occurred with Sandusky.

Heim has defended the decision in recent days to tell the director of the Second Mile to keep quiet about what Jerry was doing in the shower.

"The Second Mile didn’t do anything wrong," said Heim. "We didn’t think Jerry was a pedophile.”

Nevertheless, Heim has admitted to seeing Jerry shower with young boys numerous times.

“Jerry in my presence, in the presence of coaches, in the presence of the football team on several occasions had gone in and showered with kids,” Mr. Heim said. “I said every day at the YMCA men shower with kids.”

The cult's theory that somehow reporting Jerry's shower activities to the 2nd Mile was a way to exonerate PSU from all blame and place it on the director's of the 2nd Mile is laughable. First, there is no credible EVIDENTS (evidence) that anything was ever reported from PSU to 2nd Mile at any time between 2001-2011. Second, even if something had been informally reported from Curley to anyone at the 2nd mile, that in no way absolves PSU since the incidents took place on the PSU campus not at a 2nd mile site. Third, Jerry Sandusky was the founder of the 2nd Mile. Reporting him to the agency he started is a joke and PSU would have known that nothing was going to come of it. Lastly, the cult makes a big deal out of what was actually seen by McQuerey that evening. They go so far as to say he saw nothing and years later 'enhanced' the story as a result of police coercion. If he saw nothing and reported nothing but horse play to Paterno, Curley, Schultz & Spanier, why the need to contact the 2nd Mile and let them know that he was doing something of a 'sexual' nature in the shower with kids. When you apply logic to all of the rationalizations the cult hold dear, they all fall apart. No one over there is smart enough or has distanced themselves enough to see the big picture and apply logic.

I agree with your overall sentiment about the Cult trying to shift the blame from Joesus and the university to the Second Mile. One of the Cult's favorite go to moves is bitching about why no one has investigated the Second Mile and that it was all the Second Mile's fault. But Bruce Heim, who was second in command at the Second Mile, admitted that Curley told him at least informally about Jerry's shower incident at PSU. Of course, Heim admitted he squashed the report because PSU had "looked into the matter" and found it to be nothing.

Heim seems to be as least as big a scumbag (and pedophile enabler) as Joesus and his minions at the university.

Here is a quote from today's Pittsburgh Post Gazette article about PSU honoring the Second Mile's Bruce Heim this coming Saturday.

"Mr. Heim said Thursday he advised former Second Mile director Jack Raykovitz not to alert fellow board members when he was informed by former Penn State athletic director Tim Curley that Sandusky was seen in a shower with a child. Mr. Heim said Mr. Raykovitz told him Penn State looked into the matter and determined nothing inappropriate happened in the shower."

BWI just blowing up with the Heim stuff. There are currently 15 different Heim threads on the front page of BWI. BWI rejoicing in their power to force the university to rescind the offer to honor Heim tomorrow. Given the shitstorm that was starting to form nationally about a Second Mile executive most people outside of State College have never heard of, it's amazing that the Cult still thinks the university should formally honor Joesus. Can you imagine the media outrage if the school ever officially honored Joesus?

PSU President Eric Barron has put out a statement regarding the rescinding of the offer to honor the Second Mile's Bruce Heim on Saturday.

"Bruce Heim is a former football player and graduate of West Point and recipient of the Bronze Star who has served our nation with distinction. Unfortunately, his participation in Saturday's coin toss ceremony has re-opened deep wounds in our community that do notinvolve his service to the country, but have distracted from the purpose of the day. We therefore regret that we must rescind the invitation to Mr. Heim to participate in the coin toss."

There's that youtube video of the Ohio State fans walking through campus before the 2007 game. The Penn State fans were booing them, but they've all claimed that it was a Pitt fan (well-documented, I'm sure) who threw something at them, point-blank range.

1. Piss-filled balloons - refuted because they can't figure out how to fill a balloon with urine. (Never mind, as someone else pointed out, that the guy with a Master's Degree from Penn State was the one who made the accusations. Traitor, I'm sure.)

Dr. Woods never said specifically that urine bombs were thrown into the band.

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State University band director Jon Woods said Monday that it would be a long time before he considers taking his 250-member band back to Penn State University.

The band performed at Happy Valley but did not march, NBC 4's Nancy Burton reported.

Once inside Beaver Stadium, word came that they would not march. They would only stand in formation and dot the "I" during "Script Ohio."

"That's very disappointing whenever you put many hours and time and effort into it," Woods said.

Penn State said the field was soaking wet and the band members might tear it up, Burton reported.

"Our band is on the field 41/2 minutes for pre-game and 71/2 minutes for halftime and Penn State's about the same," Woods said. "Band members can be on the field that long and they really don't do damage to the field like (football) cleats would."

Woods said the rain at Penn State was an excuse. He said he thinks the real reason the band did not march was the rowdy Nittany Lions fans, causing problems before the band made it into the stadium.

"All along the way, from the beginning of that marching to the end, there was verbal abuse," Woods said. "Things were thrown at the band. A beer bottle was thrown and hit somebody. It was very frightening."

Penn State University is apologizing for some conduct which took place off the field and before Saturday night's game in State College.

It appears the Ohio State University Marching Band was the target of unsportsmanlike behavior at the hands of some Nittany Lions fans.

Neither school is happy about what happened in Happy Valley.

With nearly 110,000 people attending the game, Penn State officials say it is possible there were "a couple jerks" among the fans.

OSU graduate Evan Mohr says it was much more than that.

"The threat of physical violence, people standing on hood of my car, mud balls being thrown," Mohr said of the environment before the game.

OSU band director Dr. Jon Woods says the band's march towards the stadium got physical.

"I saw a fan pushing their way into the ranks of the band, which is frightening," Dr. Woods said.

His feelings are echoed all across online message boards where Buckeyes say attending Saturday's game was the worst experience they ever had.

One Ohio State band member posted a message saying someone urinated into a bottle and threw the bottle at the band. That is in addition to grabbing, punching, and yelling of profanities the band endured.

Dr. Woods says the conduct definitely crossed the line.

"This was without a doubt the most hostile environment that I've ever experienced at a college football game," the 21-year veteran director told 10TV.

An unofficial website for Penn State shows Lions fans saying they're downright embarrassed by the behavior of fellow fans.

Buckeye fans across the country say they should be.

"One Penn State guy just grabbed another guy and threw him up against the car for no reason," Ohio State fan Matt Snezik said.

Bruce Heim has definitely escaped scrutiny over the last 4 years --- it was NEVER a good idea to "honor" him. NEVER. Shame on the idiots in school administration who thought up this hair-brained idea.

And yes --- Heim/2nd Mile officials are mutually exclusive from C/S/S/Penn State officials. Pointing out that one group screwed up does not exonerate the other (or vice versa). God, they BOTH screwed up.

Jerry Dunn absolutely "was in the picture" --- he was PSU HC until Spring 2003.

The cult cannot seem to understand that it doesn't matter if the entire town knew something was going on... the 4 in question knew about 2 different occurrences in 3 years and had a first hand account from a GA and they did nothing short of covering it up and hoping it would be someone else's problem. Spanier also had a history of covering things up - which makes sense in the context of the case. There was that whole incident where the kid was abused by a prof and sent Spanier the phone recordings years later of the prof admitting he molested the kid only to get the tapes back unopened from Spanier's office.

When the story first started to break, I thought maybe the outrage would just stay isolated to the PSU boards. But once ESPN picked up the story, the PSU administration instantly rescinded the offer to Heim.

I don't think PSU will ever officially honor Joesus. I don't mean this literally, but one would think that within Old Main (PSU administrative building) there would be pictures of certain people on the wall, where it says underneath "These guys, given their relationship to the Sandusky affair, are of a poisonous nature to the University and our attempts to craft a strong future for our University. In no way can we visibly associate ourselves with these individuals in any way. Nothing good can come of it."

Jack Raykovitz and Bruce Heim are two OBVIOUS people that fall in that category. As Cris Carter says, "come on, man."

As for McCombie, PS4RS (an organization I do not think works in the best interests of Penn State's future) has some answering to do. Maybe we'll get some light into what I strongly suspect --- the Paterno family are the chief financial backers of that organization, in the attempt to use PS4RS as a back-door way to push their agenda within PSU leadership.
