Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Some jerk ranks the public colleges in the US. I didn't get too deep, but they ranked Penn State #26.
Per the first dude's post: Michigan ranked number 1. Maryland 8 Wisconsin 10 Illinois 11 OSU 15 Minnesota 17 Indiana 22

The cult is pretty annoyed about it. Classic case of "If your rankings don't agree with how I believe, they must be wrong."

I've seen some rankings with PSU even higher. Joining the Big Ten was a major step forward for them in terms of academics, but you'll never get anyone at BWI to admit that. Maryland at 8 is a REAL surprise. They were mid level just 10 years ago. Rutgers should be ranked in the top 20.

As a graduate of UCSD I love that my alma mater is specifically singled as as being higher than 'anyone' would expect.

Well except for anyone who actually knows anything about higher education. UCSD is actually surprisingly low on that list (behind schools like Maryland, Texas & Florida).

The real challenge is finding a methodology where UCSD isn't ranked higher than PSU.

The children's section of the Paterno Library has books like "The Grinch's Ten Inches", "Herbert the Pervert Likes Sherbert", "Your Colon Can Moo-Can You?", "Jerry the Gerbil", "My Pocket Rocket Needs a Socket" and the timeless classic "Oh, the Places You’ll Scratch and Sniff!"
