Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

and if you're not going to call it on a make it you win/miss it you lose XP...when the hell are you going to call it?

I spent some time over there today because I like to torture myself. They have people calling for the arrest of Bosa for twisting and ripping off the helmet of Hackenberg, and those same people defending video of JT getting his eyes poked at. And, of course, JT deserved it because of the bad INT call and missed delay of game......while Bosa deserved to be kicked out of the game.

Also, they determined that the TO that we got when it looked like Urban didn't really want to call it was a favor from the refs because we had 12 people on the field. This is the same TO that they weren't willing to admit was given without it being asked for.....the same way they had one called when it wasn't asked for. Because bad things only happen to them.

I love their long list of grievances they have with the officiating. Half of them are actual penalties/legit calls. The other half are things that happen to every team. They just live in their little penn state bubble and never notice any other bad calls. I saw somebody bitching about the leaping penalty and asked if it had ever been called before. The same question was raised about the roughing the center they got called for against us a couple years ago. Yes you fuckwits....it has been called before. On us. As the #1 team in the country. A position you would think the B1G would want to protect since they cheat to protect us.

They're in rare form today.

well to be fair you almost never see it called...........................because no one else is dumb enough to actually jump onto the pile while trying to block a kick since there has been a rule on the books against it for nine goddamn years.

I mean why not trot out the old black rubber block to kick off of then start bitching when the refs won't allow it? It's only been outlawed since 1990.

I've been hearing some whining from Penn State fans about the leaping penalty at the end of the first overtime. Sounds like they think it isn't a penalty, or is never called.

Maybe it isn't a penalty in high school. But it is a penalty in NFL and college. I don't know when it became a penalty, but I've always thought it was a penalty.
I don't know how much it is called - I've seen it called, though. Whether it happens all the time and isn't called, I don't know..

been a penalty since at least 2004.

LSU vs Auburn.
AU scores a late TD to tie the game 9-9 and missed the PAT.
but Ronnie Prude (LSU DB) was called for leaping, and AU got to try it again.
of course they made it to beat us 10-9.

that was the first time I ever saw it called.
not sure how often it gets called, but it's been a penalty since at least that far back.

I have always been amazed by the lack of self-awareness that I see so often coming out of Columbus.

Is this a Penn State thing, or do other fan bases do this? Do Ohio State fans do this? It seems like they think that the PSU employees work for THEM - the fans and alumni. It seems that they send emails to them demanding that certain things be done.

OP is annoyed that he emailed the athletic director TWICE (once about stadium music and once about the horrible officiating), and he hasn't gotten a response. I can see the AD opening her inbox and saying, "WHOA - some yokel doesn't like such-and-such?? I better get to the bottom of this!"

I cannot see anyone who has any realistic perspective on the world doing this. First of all, I'm pretty sure the AD (and University Pres, VP, Head Coach, etc.) all have someone on staff to weed out any psycho emails. I cannot see Gene Smith possibly having time to read everything that hits his inbox. And, even if I'm wrong and he does read everything, there's no way in hell he has time to respond to everything.

Cults gonna cult....... Victims (or whatever you want to call 'em) gonna victim (or, whatever you want to call 'em).
