The wildcat merely opens a huge hole between guard and tackle.. Shazier is standing right there on an island.. and someone 120 lbs bigger is there to meet him.. he may as well attack the hole because when he's sitting back, the next thing he's seeing is a monster pulling guard

Gotta improve on the tackling in the second half...the defense is just not wrapping up. Hopefully they kick it into high gear here the rest of game.

As for offense...man I wish we'd run a misdirection or bubble screen or quick slant or reverse or........something different on first down!

Simple answer to that is meet force with force. Take on the block and disrupt the play. This isn't the first time tOSU has seen the fucking wildcat. MAKE. THE. TACKLE.

The bigger problem is it sounded like a tennis match for most of the first half. WTF is that all about?? The defense needs a little momentum and some deafening crowd noise would be nice. This is a close game and IMO the crowd is going to play a HUGE roll in the 2nd half. But if the D doesn't start tackling better they're in trouble. LB play = :PUKE:

Biggest head-scratcher of the first half, aside from the defense getting gashed... What were they thinking rolling Hyde out for a screen pass?!?! I know it's all about the element of surprise. But never, and I mean NEVER should they be passing the ball to Hyde. After all, I thought that's Jordan Hall's specialty. I could be wrong, who knows..

EDIT: I don't mean that as a knock on Hyde, but he's our PHYSICAL, up the middle, short yards back... Hall is who should be rolling out for the screens.

Showered and ready for the 2nd half with an optimistic mindframe. Just need to stop the run and get a little pressure on the qb and we are ok. O playcalling is what it is but at least we are putting points on the board. We win this game by infinity :oh:
