Peach Bowl: #1 Georgia vs #4 tOSU, Sat 12/31 8 ET on ESPN

I mean... I'm a former college football player, I'm 45 pounds overweight and I start personal training on Sunday.

None of you. NONE. OF. YOU.

Realize how big my Saturday is going to be. I'm only having a limited amount today because I'm so ready for Saturday I couldn't help myself.

Ok, let's here it BP.

Here's my plans Saturday. Watch K State, TCU and the Buckeyes. What would you have for food?
You need to mix in the women's hoops game vs ttun as a warmup

On the eve of the Peach Bowl, how about a Woody Hayes story from the Vince Dooley biography?

Apparently back in the 70’s Coach Hayes never travelled far south for recruiting or otherwise (he had no need too) but Woody found himself committed to a Coaching Clinic commitment that put him close-ish to Athens.

Per Coach Dooley, the two hit it off and Coach Dooley sought his counsel on some staffing/personnel decisions he had to make. Hayes agreed to spend the day in Athens with one condition, a home cooked meal. According to Coach Dooley, Coach Hayes LOATHED hotel food/restaurant food and much preferred a family table and polite family conversation. Mrs. Barbara Dooley, wonderful cook and hostess obliged and Woody was Woody. Consummate charmer, great conversationalist, dedicated listener, the whole nine yards.
Coach Dooley even remarked how thankful he was that Woody spent time listening to his children talk about their school work and sports activities, shared some stories about the Indians organization (as Dooley’s son was an avid baseball fan) and it was just an excellent evening.

Vince received a handwritten congratulations note from Woody when the Dawgs won it all in 1980 and the two remained distant friends through retirement.

Nice, long-winded way of saying our schools should play more often. I know we have dates in the 30’s on the books, but hopefully the expanded playoff will add some more color to this matchup.

All things considered, I am amazed at some of the total lack of trolling the boards have featured this week. Usually you guys have 4-6 “guests” drop in and immediately try to stir up trouble. This has been a remarkably quiet month imo.

Will be buying a ticket tonight or tomorrow morning. Not sure what to expect but I’m not missing a chance to witness another 2014-esque night, especially when it’s only a 25 minute trip. OATW

Buddy - get home safe. When the game is over you guys are gonna be dumped out into midtown NYE madness.

I think UGA fans have too much Falcon/Braves syndrome to talk a lot and right now Buckeye nation is so down on their own that an outsider can’t get a rise out of us.

Cool story and thanks for sharing!

If UGA wins tomorrow I'm sure many of us here will be pulling for you all vs the TCU/Michigan winner.

Can't wait!

Prosciutto, rice balls, olives, cheeses & crackers. Then move on to the real stuff: manicotti, eggplant parm, lasagna, meatballs, & veal cutlets. Make sure you're spacing it out from noon to 8. Then triple berry pie served hot with vanilla bean ice cream. None of that french vanilla shit. Vanilla bean. Pecan is also acceptable, as well as numerous cheesecakes.

I can't eat before games though. Too nervous. But I do stay hydrated.
