Peach Bowl: #1 Georgia vs #4 tOSU, Sat 12/31 8 ET on ESPN

Yeah, chasing NIL money hasn’t served him well. He has all the physical tools. And yeah, his receivers let him down with some dropped passes. But he also too often overthrows receivers who are open. And when he needs to show leadership and fire under pressure, he doesn’t show it. He made some poor decisions late in the game last night. The announcers were talking at one point in the game about how he’s not a fiery guy and how that’s just his personality.

Maybe that’s something he learned from CJ.

But have you seen his hair? [Chef's Kiss]

This Buckeye team isn’t as good as that one either.

I would say this team is every bit as talented (if not more), but that hasn't translated to the performance that team had. I have tempered expectations on winning this game, but if everything comes together it could be a fun night.

Really it seems like UGA excels at stopping the run, but is vulnerable in the pass defense. We have to be able to run the ball some to keep them honest, but I would expect (or hope for) some creativity in the passing game and leaning on that. If that doesn't work, then it wasn't our year I guess. I just don't see us running the ball effectively on them, though I would love to be wrong.

BigWoof’s Non-Trolling, Non-Drinking, Peach Bowl thoughts (because I’m bored and my children are driving me absolutely crazy).

1. I expect Ohio State to win, like 33-19.
2. Yes, I tend to be a “glass half empty” fan, but history tells me Stetson is due for a stinker, he has one a season that leaves you scratching your head and going “huh?”
Last year it was the SEC Championship, this year I think it will be the Peach Bowl.
3. In order for #1 to happen, Ohio State has to get to the lead, which I think they will. My beloved Dawgs are like a Rhinoceros. Once they get up to speed and really going on offense, they are tough to stop. But they can be slow to start and they don’t chase well.
4. Missing McConkey will hurt alot.
5. Our defense will do an excellent job at stopping the run but an average job at getting off the field when it’s 3rd and manageable. Which will limit our ToP and thus cause us to look like we’re forcing things.

I hinted at this earlier, but my biggest fear is that this current run we are on is closer to Clemson than Alabama. Getting WHITE HOT and winning a shit load of games in 2-4 seasons rather than a true decade of dominance. I would love love love to be wrong about this.

Lastly, the O/U on this game is 62. I think I’m leaning under on this. Ultimately I think this game is about who has to kick more field goals rather than PAT’s. Red Zone defense will be so so critical. I think Ebuka and MHJr will really show their “specialness” in these situations rather than breaking off huge gainers.

Worried sick and grumpy is my mood.

is there a final word on your tackle? that feels like a colossal one of especially since OSU is pretty good there with even stronger potential at DE (JTT is very good, Zach is good, and Sawyer should be but hasn't broken through yet)

There is no way UGA can lose this game.

It’s a lock.

UGA by 18+. Not trolling or jinxing. I just can’t unsee what happened against a similar, though lessor, version of UGA at the end of November.
Add into that OSU players talking about how pissed off they are reminds me of every scUM team OSU used to ape fuck annually. All talk, nothing to show for it. Add in a QB who has as much fire as a 4th of July sparkler and this has the makings of another stern ass kicking.
Self imposed ban in 3…2…
