Pac-10 Men's Tournament 2007

Cal's a hot team... I believe SC said they went on a 37-2 run last night against Oregon State.

This is big for the b10. If OSU-Wisky make the title game, they will both earn 1 seeds, imo (since the brackets are made before the game finishes).

good. a ucla loss increases ohio state's chances of facing, say, memphis as the 2-seed in their region (provided, of course, each team proceeds as they should). considering that memphis should easily win their conference tournament, either the #8 or #9 overall seed should be where they are placed. there is a large enough gap in quality between georgetown (or the other possible 2-seeds) and memphis that the #1 overall seed actually means something. then again, i won't be surprised to see memphis moved down to a 3-seed.

here's how i see the overall seeds working out (wouldn't be surprised to see unc and wisky flipped):

1. ohio state
2. kansas
3. florida
4. north carolina
5. wisconsin
6. ucla
7. georgetown
8. memphis

I'd say Kansas is the only team left with a chance at getting the #1 overall seed but we're obviously the frontrunners.
i agree that ohio state is the frontrunner. i also agree that kansas is right behind us. however, if ohio state, kansas, and wisky don't win their conference tournaments, then florida still has an excellent shot at the #1 overall seed, provided that they win the sec tournament. the selection committee's memory of florida's previous season weighs, i'm sure, heavily on their decision process. however, wisky still has an opportunity to take the #1 overall seed if they win the big ten tournament, kansas loses theirs, and florida loses theirs.

Oregon hammered Arizona, 69-50. That's great and shocking news about UCLA.

Oregon hit the lottery by UCLA losing today. They went from being a probable loser in the semis of their conference tourney to being the odds-on favorite to win it. That'll boost their seed big time if they do.

Don't worry, I know what you meant. :wink2: Yes, they have a good chance at winning which will help their seeding. I think they'd be a lock for atleast a 4 seed if they won the whole tourney.
