So it is Oregon/Cal and USC/wazzou-wash winner

I don't know Stanford's overall resume but does losing first round today hurt them or are they in for sure?

Tough to say. They have impressive wins(at UVA, WSU, UCLA, UO, USC) but also some bad losses(45-79 at home to Air Force, 46-62 at home to Santa Clara, at home to Cal). I don't think they get in.

So you think 5 teams then or do you think that Washington has a chance to get in?

I think Washington has to get to the championship game to get in. If they don't then yes, I see only 5 teams getting in which would be a disappointment considering for much of the year the Pac-10 appeared to be the best or deepest conference in the country.

if stanford were selected, they would be the only at-large team to have a losing record (3-4) against the rpi 51-100. having lost 6 of their last 10 games, stanford is on the wrong side of the bubble.

I still can get a read on how good this wazzou team, they don't really have anyone that stands out, but they just find ways to win...

You will get to know them as the post-season wears on. The Cougs are going places this year......deep into the NCAA tournament! Unfortunately, Tony Bennett may be going places too, to whomever dangles the multi-million dollar annual pile of cash. Oh well I have this year to enjoy!
As to having no players who "stand out", you probably have not watched them much as their games, when they have been televised, are usually late. Low and Weaver were All-Pac 10 this year, and Rochestie has come on strong late in the year to be one of the best 6th men in the country. WSU is not sitting on 25 wins for nothing! Certainly both Bennetts, Tony and his father Dick have to get the bulk of the credit for this year' astounding run. Those guys can flat out coach. So far they have the most wins of any Cougar basketball team since 1917!

GO COUGARS!
